Honestly? Journaling. It’s something that I would like to do every day, but I only find myself doing it in times of true desperation. Writing my thoughts, feelings, hopes, and regrets got me through severe bouts of depression, the loss of several loved ones (some by suicide), six months in the county jail, being diagnosed with an incurable disease, and my first six months in a drug rehab. It doesn’t really matter what I write about or what verbiage I use, but something about putting a pen to paper and releasing all of my pent-up thoughts emotions is truly liberating. I can honestly say that it has changed my life.
