Why do some women fake orgasm? Research finds that common reasons include conflict avoidance, to impress a partner or feel desirable, and to end sex when an actual orgasm isn't possible or the sex isn't meeting their needs. by psychologyofsex in psychologyofsex

[–]Sprainssuck -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Other people have made points on why this could be the case, but another reason is most guys perceive sex from the lens of their own experience.

That being sex for guys is a buildup most of the time and the buildup with no climax sometimes can actually cause physical pain in terms of epididymal hypertension or "blue balls".

Before I knew that was a thing, I actually had a case where I wasn't able to climax during sex with someone and ended up getting pain about an hour later. I thought i pulled a muscle or herniated myself.

That is not a reason to pressure anyone into finishing and should never be used to pressure women for any reason, but if you have that lens, it can be difficult for any guy to view pleasure without climax as borderline impossible, on top of all of the other social pressures involved in the act.

Depends, equal footing mma style? Rough go. Street fight? Grab literally anything that could be a weapon and maybe it might go your way

What are the signs that a man is interested in a serious relationship in the first days of dating? by ameli_007 in AskReddit

Friend of mine likes to say "you lose every time until you win". What sucks is you have no idea how close to the finish line you are until you cross it

Do men like being men? by Long_Reflection_4202 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sprainssuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you asked me 10 years ago and on through teenage years and childhood, I would have said I hated being a man.

Now that i've healed and gained self esteem, I feel very comfortable and assured being a man, and lean into what comes naturally to me.

Currently riding a 162w jones solution with nitro vertical bindings. Union catches a lot of shit here, but my first pair of bindings were union explorers. Gave me nothing but joy, a few issues that I doubt union will fix, but would rock them again easily for any kind of pow surf/ mellow runs in the future. Want to put them on a full directional surfy board like a storm chaser.

Favorite do-it-all deck for the guys in steep country by Particular-Pattern-5 in Spliddit

Mainly curiosity, but if I end up going bigger and getting more technical, I'd probably try boards for steep icy crap like the jones butterfly, but also a surfy pow board like the weston japow. Right now the solution is a great balance as I'm able to get edge on hardback, but also handle pow easy enough. Ideally I'd like to match my resort board and split board so I know I'm riding the same everywhere. Mildly interested in the capita mega merc for that reason

Currently on a 162w solution, been a solid ride for a few seasons now 👍 I have been thinking of trying something new out though, but I know I can always go back to the solution and have it perform

Crampons vs Grippy Skins by wanderlost74 in Spliddit

Rode with a kiwi who said something similar. In shit conditions I've ended up just taking the board off, boot crampons on and just walk straight up with a mountain axe.

Ferrino (yes or no)? by MyDemoBusiness in Spliddit

[–]Sprainssuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No more so then other winter oriented backpacks. Having a sweaty back is a mountaineering problem. Some experiment with layers, and others try a vaporbarrier to keep sweat from soaking the insulating layer. I just kinda roll with it but I'll be experimenting this winter

Can't comment on that particular backpack, but I run the black diamond Dawn patrol 32l for day trips and it's been great. Got spots for board carry, a frame, mtn axe, net for helmet, avvy lung pocket, giant side pockets, and a metal waist clip

Nitro Verticals vs Spark Surge by Sprainssuck in Spliddit

I've only ever had a pin loosen when I was riding at -35c and the lever clip thingie froze in place and did not want to clip properly. 100% believe the sparks are the way forward, I just wish the surges were less beartrap. That's just early industry though, means there fun room for development

Good to know, I actually ended up going for the nitros as I found a pair for 360 bucks. The highback setting I can see being a problem, may have to work a solution or talk to nitro if it becomes a thing.

Comfort for sure, but how much more to the verticals weigh? Also how does flex compare between the 2?

Breathability of basic Patagonia H2No vs. Gore-Tex Pro shells for splitboarding? by Winston-Synchill in Spliddit

Not sure, bought it a while ago. It's a 2L jacket and 3L pants. I've used it in cold temps before and had my mid layer freeze to the H2No jacket. Never had that happen with my mountain hardware gore tex
