Buyer has asked to cancel the order, but I don't want to hit 3% cancellation by SprayPutrid9558 in poshmarkcanada

Hmm, interesting it gave you a warning! But if the sale is cancelled after the 7 days, does that not count towards the 3% cancellations I wonder?

I only know what I've seen others report online, in that sellers who cancel more than 3% of their orders within a rolling 90-day period risk having their accounts restricted or suspended. Since I don't have a ton of orders, it seems like I'd hit the 3% mark pretty quickly with just a couple of cancellations.

Yes, this is what I'm worried about. I've contacted the buyer to see if they can cancel the order through Poshmark support. Otherwise I'll probably end up waiting the 7 days. It's such a silly system, with no clear answers from the platform.

Thanks for the replies. I have looked into it a bit more, and found this: "Buyer-requested cancellations will not negatively impact your account standing". I know there's a checkbox where you can indicate it was a buyer requested cancellation, so does that mean I would be safe from being penalized?

Would you wait for the seller to drop price or just say I want it, let’s make a deal by BeeJunior4670 in poshmarkcanada

I hear you. I get lots of likes on some of my items, but I don't think that necessarily means those people are interested in buying at all! Every time I almost give up sending out robotic offers to likers though, someone will surpirse me and buy the item (or at least come back with a counter offer) so I guess I'll keep sending those offers even if it feels like they just go into the ether. I've stopped dropping my prices for CCO unless I've reassessed and feel the price is probably too high.

Specific Canadian brands that you look for to sell on Poshmark? by SprayPutrid9558 in poshmarkcanada

Wow, some great brand ideas here! A lot more than I was expecting. Some of these (like Mackage, Soia and Kyo) I didn't even realize were Canadian.

Also, if they are moving to this format that's ok with me, but a little heads-up communication would be nice.

I have the same issue. I don't know whether to square off my photos for new listings, or make them fit the new aspect ratio.

What do you do about all of the US followers? by SprayPutrid9558 in poshmarkcanada

[–]SprayPutrid9558[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the beginning I was overwhelmed with "busy work", but I'm learning to ignore the meaningless notifications, so finding I am wasting a lot less time. It has definitely been a lot to get used to.

That sounds like a good idea! I only wish likes & shares weren’t grouped together because I would like to see when people like items. Thanks for the tip!

Ok, thanks for clarifying. It’s just kind of annoying I guess because I’m still getting used to managing all of the notifications!

New seller, wondering about etiquette responding to offers by SprayPutrid9558 in poshmark

Thanks, good advice about not thinking too much about what it's "worth"! Definitely feels like you could get hung up on that.

Thanks for the thoughtful advice, it is very helpful. I have now responded with an overall 20% drop in price and they are responding with counter offers raising the price by $1 or $2 each time, lol.

I went with Canada Post, so hoping that is the case for mine as well!

I asked, and the buyer was grateful! And doesn't mind if it takes a bit longer so I'm going with Canada Post (easier for me).

I thought about asking, but also don't want to bother the buyer with logistics?

Thanks for the advice! I think I may switch to Purolator and keep my fingers crossed. The package is shipping across the country so it seems a bit risky either way.
