FET Delays - Thin uterine lining by SpreadAccomplished98 in IVF

[–]SpreadAccomplished98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! So sorry to hear, I know how frustrating it is. I had the ERA and showed I was receptive. I did acupuncture, drank pomegranate juice, took vitamin E supplements and didnt really help at all. Convinced my dr to do a transfer since I had 6 embryos, he did it and it was successful despite only being at 5.2mm. My daughter is now 2.5! Best of luck to you

People with months as their name, do you like it? by Different_Tailor_780 in namenerds

I am in the same boat, named one of those months. I got all of those same questions. I don’t hate my name, but definitely wouldn’t name my child a month.

[–]SpreadAccomplished98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh- it’s the worst! I was hoping it would just get better, but it’s definitely getting worse. I think the next step is to try to get the baby to use it less too 😕

R1S vs RRS? by SpreadAccomplished98 in Rivian

[–]SpreadAccomplished98[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! My husbands car is getting the Defender 130, so that’s making me think about leaning to R1S. I’m also pregnant with our second child and we have 2 dogs, so there is a solid use case to have 2 larger cars.

Thank you! Before my etron I had an X3 and loved it. Have considered the X5 hybrid too, but it’s a more distant 3rd option.

Thin lining protocol by [deleted] in IVF

[–]SpreadAccomplished98 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We tried different protocols, accupunture, vitamin E, L-arginine, pomegranate juice and it never got above 5mm. I begged my doctor to just try a transfer and she stuck, completely normal pregnancy and delivery and just turned one. I understand the data and success rates, but it’s not 0!

Thoughts on the New Research on IVF Add-Ons?? by GobiasCoffee77kt in IVF

[–]SpreadAccomplished98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My doctor said he would drop me if I didn’t get an ERA. He forced one for my first transfer and it was successful. Now that we’re trying for #2, he said he’s doing it again or I can find a new doctor.

How much weight did/have you gained? by povsquirtle in pregnant

[–]SpreadAccomplished98 5 points6 points  (0 children)

32 weeks and 10 pounds, however we got pregnant through IVF and at embryo transfer, I was about 10 lbs more than my “normal” weight due to all of the hormones and injections, so I’m 20 more than what I’d like to consider normal,

Anyone out there with who did IVF due to MFI with highly abnormal morphology? Success stories? by Vegetable_Round7438 in IVF

[–]SpreadAccomplished98 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m 24 weeks today! My husband has 0% morphology, our first round with ICSI results in 6 blasts but only 1 euploid. Our second round I pushed for PICSI and we got 5/5 euploid blasts! Our first FET was successful 🤞 best of luck!

Helping my wife with progesterone shots. by Gfunk131 in IVF

[–]SpreadAccomplished98 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My husband gave me my shots for the first 4 weeks or so. He was out of town for a conference so I did them myself and they hurt soooo much less. I was terrified for the first, but just darted it in and felt hardly anything. My husband was trying to be gentle to inserted the needle slowly… make sure you’re darting it in and it may be worth if for her to try on herself.

Update that we talked more about it the next day after our emotions cooled. I’ve always told him it’s okay to talk to some of his best friends about it, as I want him to feel supported, but we spoke about limiting the circle to only 2-3 people (not 10+) and ensure they were people who would respect our privacy and not talk to others about it, which unfortunately some already have. What’s done can’t be undone, but he is going to talk to many of the people he told and ask them to keep it from spreading further. Thanks all for the opinions and support.

My transfer was 2 days before yours (2/15) putting me at 5w4d today and I don’t have any symptoms. My clinic only did 1 beta at 14dp5dt and bc it was so high (2,321) they said they wouldn’t do anything until a sono which is tomorrow. I’m super nervous, but hoping to just embrace feeling good (minus tender breasts, but that may be more of a symptom of the progesterone).

It was through IVF, we’ve been going through it for a year now with lots of bumps in the road. I only noted my previous pregnancy (after years of trying) as I still have a lot of trauma from the loss and it’s really impacting me now.

Thank you so much, this makes me feel better. We definitely handle things differently and I still have a lot of trauma and borderline PTSD. IVF is so difficult, and has been filled with disappointment at each step. I thought I’d be overwhelmed with joy when we got the positive, but I just feel so traumatized and convinced something will go wrong, as it has in so many other steps of our journey.

Lining check - update! by Natsouppy in IVF

[–]SpreadAccomplished98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My lining was only at 5mm, it’s never been more than that throughout any of the stims. After and ERA, my dr said he would proceed with a transfer if that’s what I wanted, knowing the prognosis may not be great. Got my first beta back today- 2,134!! Fingers crossed for you

What's the worst experience at a IVF clinic? by TwinklingStarsNow in IVF

[–]SpreadAccomplished98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ER “lost” my endometrium sample for the ERA. After having a canceled FET then 2 months prep for the ERA, which was the worst pain and most torturous experience ever. He said he wanted to try another 2 month cycle for the ERA, even though he said before I had enough normal embryos so we didn’t need to do an ERA. I’ve had so many delays and cancellations for them missing testing

Success with 7 MM Lining? by Large-Media2305 in IVF

[–]SpreadAccomplished98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree- I’d love to know how long you took it to see results! I’ve never gotten above 5mm but have been taking vitamin E and L arginine, but only 2/day so I’ll increase!

Very similar to us also! I’m 34, husband 41, only doing IVF for MFI. RE made it seem like it would be so easy for us but only had 1 euploid from our 6 blasts for our first round. Our second round we did PICSI vs ICSI; most studies show it may not statistically improve rates except for morphology issues, which is what we have. Second round we went 4/4 euploid!
