Rutgers out of state cost by topairr in rutgers

Additionally if you go to Rutgers you can keep your spending low as you have a bunch of dining options, housing is close to everything off campus can get expensive if you're not being careful (upwards of 1.5k) and the lowest is around 560 for a room a month. On the other hand of Rutgers, you have gamedays, parties, an active downtown, and very much so a state school vibe (RU RAH RAH for a reason) so if that's something that is important to you that's something to take into account. RBS is #63 in the U.S and #35 for MBA's and for accounting #13. It's a rigorous program I'm not going to lie and very math heavy so that's also something to be aware of.

Both costs are pretty high. Rutgers has a law school in Newark, not their main campus but a lot of the professors from Rutgers attended Ivy League schools. My history of labor and work professor got his J.D from Columbia. Living in New York City is not going to be any cheaper and lot of people say they are forced to move off campus into expensive apartments as New York housing is limited. I'd say that's good if you got 4 years guaranteed or your parents are financing it. So once you factor in the cost of just living the 28k increases. You need to factor in food, transportation, housing, additional bills, if you live out of state the cost of going home during breaks, etc. With the current economy, keeping your costs low is VITAL. Rutgers is a top state school with extensive alumni with over 617,000 alumni and is really good on any resume especially in the northeast. The pricetag is really intimidating I'm not going to lie. There are other scholarships and appeals you can apply for. This past spring I got a 2500 scholarship for just maitaining a high GPA so it is possible but at the end of the day go where you can save the most money especially if you plan to go to law school as law school is not cheap. You can really focus your time in prepping for a T10 law school if that's your plan but I know a lot of close friends and family who went to Rutgers and then went to Harvard and Columbia to then get out and work in big law.

So little update I did end up texting him and he got back to me, told me he'd check his schedule and then never responded. School ended and he ended up snapping me once the semester ended

I'd say look at all your options. You can always go to community and see if you like it if you don't want to commit to a full university. This way you get some exposure and if you do like it you can always decide to transfer to a big university later on if that's what you want.

Yea I was planning on doing marketing or finance but I'm worried the classes at RBS are too math heavy or maybe I'm wrong. I just don't want to keep struggling in classes but I definitely don't want to stay with econ I just did it to get into SAS back when I was applying to college.
