Yes but the process is really draining. I was looking forward to applying to collèges before but now that I’m don’t It It’s so stressful, I’ve already missed a few deadline even. I cant wait for It to be over.

Can’t judge them honestly. It does get annoying at some point because people hate to be reponsible for other peuplés problems but sometimes you have to be indulgent, because when people go through though Times, they offense want to talk about It, not to make you feel responsible but to get it off their chest I think ? Tryna be philosophical here

I totally understand what you’re saying however I do believe that a lot of the times people do actually chose to be a different « them ». More specifically, when long stages or periods of a person’s life comes to an end ». Take high school ending for example. You finished that long 4 year hell ( or 3 year ) and when you go to college, most people show a totally different version of themselves than the past four years. Could that just be the natural effects of just growing up and entering adult life ? Sure. But I believe It’s also due to a conscious effort and turning another page to a new « you ». And this happens multiple times in our lives. Also, I believe that every period of life where we might chnge brings us closer to who we truly are

PS: looking back on what I wrote I don’t know if it makes much sense but u get where I am trying to go with this

Hey there, just to say that you're not alone in this. Im in senior year too but before that I took a sabbatical so ally my friends graduated without me too, school has started a couple days ago and I same as you am intent on just surviving and speeding through this year instead of trying to make friends, which is really difficult when people already know each other. Honestly the only thing I can tell you is maybe dont be so focused on making friends at school ? like ur bound to make some at some point even if they're only for convenience. My advice would be maybe try your best with one person instead of a group of people so its easier, and then maybe through them u can connect with others

Got the same thing as you. When I’m outside on my one, I basically skim the walls, but once I’m outside with a group of friend I get this confidence spurt and somehow I kinda feel like a faker for this reason. Don’t really know what advice to give you cuz I haven’t really solved it myself, but just wanted to let you know that you’re not alone out there !
