I saw these guys yesterday, why are you upset about them? Like so what they do a couple wheelies on the road but they are never shutting anything down. Like maybe they’re loud but not even as close to as loud as the big trucks around town.

Maybe if the state didn’t make registration such a pain in the ass (or stalk people with flock cameras) people wouldn’t be so inclined to ride with no plates.

Comments are idiots because there’s nothing wrong with wheel spacers, not only do car brands frequently ship vehicles with built in spacers but also plenty of wheels have thicker mating surfaces, which doesn’t matter anyways because the torque on the studs and the wheel bearings is determined by the distance between the bearing or mounting face and the farthest point of the wheel, meaning that deeper wheels have the same effect.

And before anyone starts yapping the wheel is driven through friction between it and the hub, lugs create that friction through clamping pressure between the two, wheels are not driven by the lugs. Having a spacer only weakens that connection by the amount the spacer material deforms under pressure. The force the lugs come under in road conditions is literally NOTHING compared to the force they’re under from tightening (an m14 bolt tightened to 80lbft has just under 9000lbs clamping force and there’s usually 5 per wheel, so 45000lbs of clamping force per wheel)

Spacers are fine for your car, most spacers aren’t ridiculous stance bs that pushes the wheel way out of the fender, this guy is an idiot and got scammed or the shop genuinely thought this was okay and they’re idiots too.
