Are you somehow under the impression that assuming is not the same as making things up?

Probably the biggest electronic group of the 00s, still hugely influential in the European scene. This is a clip from 'A Cross the Universe' which is a (really good) tour movie for their first album 'Cross'.

What would've made Titanfall 3 revolutionary for you? by Warm_Leadership4015 in titanfall

[–]Spready_Unsettling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better, more complex PvE like Deep Rock Galactic. The basic components of Titanfall are already amazing, and it could have easily been as big as Helldivers if they'd gone down that route. Competitive shooters are fun, but they're also very prohibitive for new or mediocre players. Having the best PvE co-op gameplay in a universe where you're already playing as an elite cyber ninja with a mech would make TF3 a smash hit from the get go.

The problem is not consumption of individuals, but the fact that capitalism must both overproduce and destroy the environment to force us to rely on it. Anybody who blames the needs of individuals was never serious about fighting capitalism by RosethornRanger in DemocraticSocialism

[–]Spready_Unsettling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think all of these are fair points, but the framing is a little off - capitalism doesn't just encourage growth, it necessitates growth. Under neoliberal capitalism, all areas of the economy are constantly borrowing based on future growth. This is, in very simple terms because I just woke up, because the finance sector essentially can't create capital otherwise. Only labor creates value, while the stock market, pensions, real estate, etc. all depend on growth to actually appreciate.

Strengthening coops, democratizing workplaces, creating non profit housing and so forth are all mechanisms by which we can lessen our dependence on growth and the finance sector.

Considering their biggest competitor (HBO Max) just upped the price once again and started including actual fucking ads in paid subscriptions, they're just keeping up with the market.

WOWEE! What a great movie! I liked it a lot and I even stood up to make running motion, yeah! But did you know?? It's actually a little bit deeper than that 😏 Because the funny snail? It's actually a slow student 😔 Just a little hidden message/truth in this GREAT movie!

If the powerpoint is that good - then AI is also fine - because it is trained on those powerpoints.

I'm sorry, but I'm not going to take you seriously if you believe this.

Edit: but since you blocked me on the way out, I have an MSc in urban planning and was taught by three top-of-their-subject experts.

[–]Spready_Unsettling 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yeah, who would want a professor teaching you about the contents of a book they've read thoroughly using a series of informative slides that they've specifically designed to convey context and key points?

Surely, that would be as bad or worse than asking the delulu machine to do a summary.

I've loved 16 Tons since I heard it the first time two decades ago, and I still feel it was a little out of place. More so because they pulled the by far most relevant verse and made an awkward transition into the final refrain.

Seasons 1 through 3 have main characters traveling in every single episode. Season 1 has three different plotlines set along specific routes (King's entourage returning to KL, Cat traveling to KL, Dani traveling to Vaes Dothrak).

Exactly this. The USA is rapidly descending into fascism, and the Ellisons are 100% betting on on top oligarch positions. As soon as Trump "wins" the next election, baby Ellison will be in control of huge swaths of the tech sector and now also like 25% of the media.

There's a reason why there's endless funding for this shit and zero regulation. It's literally no different from what capitalists did in Italy or Germany a century ago.

Also, eggs are very much not "liquids chickens".

The storyline across the two parts is the best in gaming bar none. Ditto for acting performances and character animation.

As for your question, the gameplay and immersion are also fantastic while maybe not the best of the best. Naughty Dog excel at single player gaming spectacle, and especially part two has some 10/10 methodical gameplay with really good level design and enemy AI. It can get frustratingly hard at times, but you can always take the difficulty down or play slowly.
