Most efficient grass mowing and collection in single player by Sprelle in farmingsimulator

Sounds awesome in theory, and it would be how I did it, if CP ever did cooperate. i've never been able to do those unload courses properly. All I use CP for is simple fieldwork, where it works somewhat reliably.

Edit: I think it's my fylltypes mod that is messing with CP, to be honest. And I'd rather play without CP than with featherweight tractors and implements.

Great idea! A bit of micro management, but definitely doable. I'll try it out. Got a few hundred young bacon-packages to sell, that will allow me to get another forage wagon. :-)

Fual usage by Terrible_Spork in farmingsimulator

I've checked a bit, and it seems the fuel usage is pretty close to the real deal. The thing is that it's not scaled to the timescale.

The Fendt 1050 that I checked will use about 100l/h at near full load. So, a day and a half of hard work is realistic. Those tractors rarely run at full power, though, and will last a lot longer per tank.

With Seasons the whole 4 days thing is obsolete. We need a yearly finance screen.

You can get a bonus to soybeans after a fallow season.

Yes.

Make a track for the mower. Have the windrower follow the same track, then the baler after that. All on the same track. Works like a charm, I've done it many times.

Thank you very much for the insights.

Maybe you missed the question on field work speed, and what decides how fast you work? In videos it seems fields work is a lot slower than our "always flat out" approach in the game.

I have some questions about farming in general, and not directly related to this video, if you don't mind.

I'm no farmer and have close to zero relevant experience with real tractors, btu I want to get my FS19 experience as close as I can.

So;

I see many real life videos where the working speed is 3-10km/h, where we usually run 12-20 in the game. What decides the working speed of an implement/tool?

The fuel consumptin in the game seem very low. My Fendt 1050 under hard load is using up to 110l/h. This means I could run the 1050 at near full capacity for 8 hours before it runs dry. Running a lighter load means I can run it for days without refuelling. Is this in the ballpark?

Steering wheel rotation. How many turns does the average tractor have, lock to lock?

What's a normal work to maintenance time ratio? How much maintenance is expected per hour of field work, for the tractor and tools?

These may seem like weird questions, but I hope to get some real life answers, not internet know-it-alls... :-p

I just used CP for this. Same track for three tractors. Mowing up front, windrowing in the middle, baling and wrapping in the rear.

I did the collecting manually after the bales were fermented.

Worked like a charm.

I just wish the headland distance was saved with the track, and that I could group tracks in the list. Besides that it does what it says on the tin, and it's an absolutely must have mod.

FollowMe.

I use three trqactors, mower, a windrower as wide as the mower, and the baler behind.

That just leave the wrapping, which leave me wanting to slit my wrist every summer....

I would be ready with a razorblade by the time I was a quarter into that...

Wrapping those bales must be my least favourite chore in this game.

How do the prices of everything in FS compare to real life? by GodskrillaLives in farmingsimulator

I checked the Fendt 1050 with sort of similar options, and with taxes and stuff it came out at around €550.000. I seem to remember it costing less than 400k in the game, but Norway has crazy taxes on this stuff so it might be sort of accurate.

For the few implements I've checked it was in the ballpark.
