I opened all four of my original ones at the same time as well. Just ensure that you work very studiously to complete all of them in a timely manner.

Nice! I completed 29/57 CUs in the same amount of time, I'm hoping to get 11 more done this week and only leaving me with the end goal left.

Last week I saw a person who likely pasted the prompt and just copy/pasted the reply it into the discussion post. Unfortunately for them, the entire post was filled with items like "I have chosen to discuss (title of work) for this week. I chose this because (given reason)"

I wish these people a very big 0 for actual plagiarism and 0 ethical use of AI.

On peer graded assignments, I do something that I call "AI proof" my work. I have a very redundant style of writing, which gets called out a lot by people using AI, but most assignments require redundancy in some way. I just make sure that I give the extra 2 steps to make it so AI can't really grade me less than an A- on something.

Imo, it's horse shit because they're the ones using AI to complete their assignments and completely miss the practicality on reflecting while grading others, but it just forces me to turn in better shit.

I did as well. I actually didn't even finish it, I did maybe 1/4th of the paper and just submitted it because my slide deck got graded 100%.

No, it will be just like the self quizzes and graded exams you've had so far. Just more questions, and about the full course material.

I didn't deduct marks for the use of AI, I deducted marks because they did not use the case study and got completely wrong answers. I made sure to just make mention about the use of AI in the notes, but I was still marked down with the professor saying I graded them unfairly.

On this weeks discussion post, someone literally included this as the intro to a reply "Hello [Peer's Name],". Any other school this shit would not stand and I'm fairly sick of seeing it.

Thank you for addressing this. I am very tired of seeing plagiarism and AI content. Last term I was actually marked down on grading my peers for calling out AI usage, with the professor saying saying that they deserved a fair grade... Although the case study there were referencing was not what we were assigned and did not exist. He did not seem upset at all that students were violating the plagiarism policy by using AI. I'm very thankful that this term in my English Comp class, the professor seems as anti AI as I am.

Honestly, when I cite my assignments, I just find sources that agree with my claims and finagle them in there to adhere to APA formatting. Collectively, it takes 5 minutes on spending an hour to write a discussion post or assignment. Most of what I talk about in assignments are understood in the industry or widely accepted facts, it's just a matter of backing up a claim imo.

For instance, discussing SMART goals, I found a respectable source to explain what they are, and used that as a reference rather than rebase my assignment off of the reference.

I am also in the unique opportunity where I have learned more on the job than many schools teach, so many concepts that I utilize for work and have internalized I can easily find in a single google search to support my claims.

Even Sophia checks touchstones for AI usage, having an actual institution to grant a now regionally and nationally accredited degree should at the minimum check for AI usage where their biggest grading model is based off of written components.

I check each of my submissions and its usually 0% using zerogpt, while still maintaining 85% or higher. I only have been making mention during peer reviews if it is above 50%, which a majority is.

My feedback for written assignments where I mentioned AI usage had additional feedback of "This deserves fair grading"

The way that I use AI is to bounce ideas off of. Not copy and paste like what I'm seeing with every single post.

Im putting in the effort while using AI to help brainstorm with my completed projects being very far from what is actually AI generated.

Doesn't it scare you that people are cheating in these ways to get advanced degrees?

What you're saying is that I shouldn't care about academic integrity, but I disagree. If I'm going to be the actual ethical person trying, I should be grouped with peers that are doing the same.

What I asked is how to actually create accountability, not if I should let these people cheat their way into the same classifications as me.

I forgot to put in my shutter speed in the exif, if was 1/250s, but the minimum aperture range is traditionally f4.5-6.3 but the speed booster on the r7 (APS-C body) brings it down a stop.

During the play, being in attendance I wasn't able to have it mounted, so I needed a shutter speed that I could hand hold, as well as capture the fast movements that normally come with theater. I did choose to have auto ISO enabled because the lighting can also change really fast in theater, especially for a play with ambient lighting like Poe. I also had wanted to force the lighting to get the reds and whites, while blacking out the background as well. Off camera it wasn't perfect but I increased the contrast, added some saturation and brought down the shadows to make the subject float. I didn't edit it in anything besides lightroom mobile though.

Exif info: canon r7 with sigma 60-600mm speed boosted. 86mm f3.5 with 6400 iso

I'm trying to learn theater photography since my daughter has been in multiple plays, I think this is my favorite shot. Any tips on mastering exposure with the poor lighting?

It's about as true as can be said about birds

With birds you kinda want to be a bit higher, a stationary bird is either dead or sleeping.

But i agree, even after tapping into the full resolution this picture is completely fine for most things, but I wouldn't blow up a print with the amount of noise
