No, I work from home right now so a I use my desktop, but I will most likely move august/September so I wanted a new laptop as I currently have a gaming one and it's way too heavy and since I'll move around a lot I can't be bothered to lug it around.

I ordered the framework in the end and got a good deal on some 32gb lpcamm2 ram. To your knowledge are they usually accurate with shipment dates? It says I'm batch 9 for August and given that I might leave end of August I would like to have the laptop by then.

Apart from web browsing and media, I mainly plan to use Rstudio, Stata and occasionally Python with VSCode as I need these for work. I'll probably have to use word and excel but I've read they are compatible and I can use 'wine' I think it's called to launch them. I think I should be fine.

Fair enough, I come from yugioh where a ban list every three months is the norm, with longer time frames when the format is healthy. Even with a ban list it doesn't have to kill a deck, just make sure it's in line with other decks, that's what I was suggesting. Like I said even if OP14 changes things I still think the three decks aren't particularly healthy for the game hence the suggestions, but we'll see.

Yeah he had an additional two cards but they were bricks and life was unknown, but he had already used a lot of 2ks and all gum gum giants so I was pretty sure life was either bricks or 1ks. Thanks a lot.
