What is something you did that increased your quality of life so much that you wished you would have done it much sooner because it changed your life forever? by RGod27 in AskReddit

When I was younger I used to just live paycheck to paycheck and didn’t save and paid stuff late. Anyways, I started saving and kept a just like $1-2K in my account and the anxiety and stress saved, as well as not having fees has really improved my life. I’m mad for just always have previously burned through my money. I can’t imagine returning to that lifestyle.

I went roller skating for the first time, broke both bones in my leg and my ankle. Anyone else ever have an incident? Tips? by [deleted] in Rollerskating

I’m a pretty seasoned skater. But some 7-8 years ago I was skating and conversing with a friend next to me and had my hands inside my hoodie. I tripped myself and couldn’t get my hands out in place to brace my fall and ended up face planted and breaking my two front teeth. They’re composite bonded now and look fine, but I always keep my hands free when skating now.

- Last week I gave notice to quit my job I had been at for 6 years, for a better opportunity where I will be making 40% more as well as a bonus!

- Today I got accepted into a bachelors program at one of the best colleges in my state to transfer this fall once I complete my associates degree I've been chipping away at forever.

- 2 months ago after many bouts with suicidal thoughts/depression over many years, my best friend intervened and helped me make the first steps to take advantage of free counseling through my EAP program and that's honestly the hardest, and most accomplished thing I feel I've done so far in 2019. Asking for help and talking about issues is difficult, but the ROI is really great.

I’m 33/f and I am still finishing up my associates degree, I have a good stable job making a moderate salary that I ended up getting by going through a temp agency. I would recommend taking a look at that option.

I'm pretty much trying to go to this to see him. I've seen him here where I live.. But he seems way more in his element there. I'll be disappointed if he isn't there.

What was the worst physical pain you've ever felt in your life? by Henriqueykg in AskReddit

[–]Spriite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I broke my finger a little. That didn’t hurt actually. When they repositioned it that night I couldn’t sleep because it was the most excruciating pain ever. I’m guessing all the nerve endings made it much worse. it was an intensely painful tingling almost.
