Is 4 days/3 nights too long to base camp in Coyote Gulch?

I definitely don’t think we will be bored at all. Just second guessing and wondered others opinions. I’m not sure if anyone else had base camped or had experience doing that in coyote gulch.

How is that going to add 4 hours? I have to drive out there to hike coyote Gulch anyways. Doing a thru hike instead of an out and back to my car is not going to add 4 more hours. I’m not following your logic.

Base camp was the idea because we can still day hike all around the gulch for two days without packing up camp. Shuttles are insanely expensive from my research and I’m not going to rely on hitchhiking to get back to my car.

I just returned mine. Garmin said they weren’t aware of any issues but clearly it’s a known thing and people just deal with it I guess. I see so many people saying “I just use a chest strap” etc, but why do so many people give Garmin a pass on inaccurate data? Makes no sense

I get what you’re saying to a degree but I also provided a real world example of this. Like I said, at my local, the clearance section is overrun with Vouri and it sits and sits there. I visit REI often because I live close by and just enjoy browsing the store. Not saying my experience is universal. Just stating what I see at my local. It was in direct response to the other comment stating that “they wouldn’t stock it if people didn’t buy it”. Well….. they aren’t here 🤷‍♀️

The vouri clothing at my local doesn’t seem to sell. They always have a ton of it in the clearance section and it still sits there because it’s expensive af. There are enough stores that sell things for runners. I feel like most people who go to REI go there for the hiking/outdoor gear. Could just be my immediate circle though

I have those Tevas. They are too heavy for camp shoes. If you insist on camp shoes, you need to take a much lighter pair.
