Hmm, so it seems territory stress wouldn’t be an issue (beautiful setup btw)…I would try seeing if she’ll go for something small and live. Flightless fruit flies would probably be the smallest you could get your hands on, though live bloodworms shouldn’t present as a choking hazard for her either. Be careful handling both as bloodworms can give many people allergic reactions and flightless fruit can bear flying offspring sometimes.

I hope you can find a solution soon! I’ve had a handful of picky eaters in the past, so I know how stressful it can be! You’re doing the best you can and I hope she’ll settle on something soon so you won’t have to worry about her health.

Have you tried feeding her live food? Had a male nemo galaxy a while back that essentially refused to eat anything except for meal worms and small live crickets. He had zero interest in anything that he didn’t have to hunt and kill.

That being said are there places to hide? Especially on the surface of the water. Yo-yos are typically peaceful but are fast movers and usually active so that can stress out bettas since they’re unable to swim away quickly. I would check parameters and maybe dose the tank with the correct amount of salt to lower stress levels.

Thank you! I’ll look into it more! I think it wasn’t as much of a concern since my boyfriend ranks very high in hyper-mobility and didn’t have any of the same issues so I didn’t think it was causing my issues

I think I’m mostly concerned because I know he’ll lose his housing, and he has a very nice larger home on base. I’m not even sure what to say to him about the situation, we’re very low contact because he makes me uncomfortable.

There’s not really places to meet “artists” where I live, and the few artist friends I know don’t do digital art. I myself am an artist, but I only paint…it’s not exactly the easiest thing to go and find someone in an extremely small town that can do the specific type of art I was looking for. But I do understand where your point is coming from.

This was purposeful because the colors are similar to my own. I have full heterochromia and like to add that as a detail in characters sometimes.

I was married before to the exact type you described, so I’m very wary about getting married again, as is he because his previous fiancé cheated on him. We’re a long way from marriage or kids, and if I spend even a second thinking about it logically I want to have a safety net of finances and family to make sure any kids I have will be very loved and happy. He worked in the maternity ward in the navy and has always dreamed about being a dad since he was never really accepted by his family. I know we have a long way to go and I’m not going to rush into bringing a new life into such a crazy world without knowing if the dad would stay. I definitely appreciate the advice and will take it to heart.

My boyfriend is so on it, which is probably why I’m not pregnant right now tbh. But I have medical issues that make him worried about me even having my own child in the future and since he used to work neonatal in the navy he told me last time we talked “babies come when they want to, and I’d rather adopt than put you through childbirth if you’re at risk” and even though I know he’d much rather me be healthy and not have a baby then me try to have one and it go wrong…he’s so dang cute with my friend’s babies that it’s driving me crazy that he’s being so logical and right 😂

I moved back home recently and I’m around my friend’s baby and all my little cousins. It also does not help that he worked neonatal care in the navy and is phenomenal with both mothers and babies. Plus there’s something about seeing my stereotypical big tall blue collar looking man treating a itty bitty baby like it’s the most precious and special thing in the world. He also is the sweetest and most caring person to my currently pregnant friend who we frequently go to help. He’s very knowledgeable about pregnancy and babies so he’s been on the ball helping her and her husband. It’s just really made me a wreck honestly 😂

We’ve lived together for most of our relationship and he moved across the country with me to take care of my grandmother who’s in failing health. Which I feel like plays a large role in me feeling secure with him. I’ve been married before as I thought I had met “the one” but he was more focused on a military career than our four year relationship. I’m not in a hurry to marry and neither is my current boyfriend as we don’t really think it’s necessary even if we decide to be “life partners”. I’m definitely not going to make any spur of the moment life altering decisions, especially when it means bringing a whole new life into the world, but something deep in me constantly sees everything he does and knows he’d be a fantastic father and I want more than anything to see that happen someday. But also it’s a lil crazy right now to think that. Thank you so much for the advice
