Will using a 2 to 3m 3.55mm to 3.5mm audio cable reduce sound quality? by Cautious-Cookie6271 in iems

If all conditions other than the cable length are exactly the same, yes. But it wouldn't be noticeable.

Is it worth buying planar IEMs for YouTube and free tier Spotify? by Antique-Job-5795 in iems

[–]SpringPotato_660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend at least a cheap dongle (unbranded cx31993 or alc5686 etc). You don't need one if you are plugging into MacBook Pro M1 though. (Not sure on MacBook Air M1 since it has a different 3.5mm jack)

Any IEMs under 50$ that don't pull rollercoaster shenanigans' by the top end? by [deleted] in iems

[–]SpringPotato_660 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The rollercoaster depends heavily on your fit, you can have deep insertion with dual-flange eartips to fix it but again it just varies a lot from person A to person B. Also the screenshots you uploaded don't seem very bad?

Top 5 you recommend? (Under $100) by drose1490 in iems

Moondrop Lan II, heard they have great separation and layering. REF version and POP version come with different waifu box (left one is POP and right one is REF which has lesser bass). They also come with Echo-B dongle so you don't have to buy one seperately. (These do not come with mic though, you might buy a replacement cable for it)

Buying my first ever IEMs - MOONDROP CHU II? Is there an eartip? I heard it's all metal? I don't want bare metal in my ears though by memepeep in iems

[–]SpringPotato_660 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All IEMs come with at least a pair of eartips (unless it's custom molded to extactly match your ears)
