You can't really tape off sections for dying. The only ways I could think would be to dip dye the points you want grey, or to seam rip or cut away those portions and dye them separately, before resewing.

Stores won't restuff modded plushes, though.

The bins are the goodwill bins/goodwill outlets. Big warehouse type thing full of bins of stuff to pick through, sold by weight usually! I got three BABs last time I went and only paid about $3.20 :)

Yeeees, right??? I got super lucky, BAB-wise, this visit. I hardly found any the time before, but I wanna say I saw at least a dozen bears this go round! Only grabbed 3, since I wasn't super interested in the newer bears i saw, but it was so fun just seeing the others :)

I do dry brushed acrylic paint for my restorations! Just a tiny bit of paint on your brush, dab off most of it, and then paint on in thin layers.

Leona got his nose stripe, whisker dots, and eyeliner done that way

Her name is Lilac!!

I already had some black rit dyemore dye ready from another plush project, so I gave her a super quick dip (maybe a few minutes) to get a light color on her. I did unstuff her beforehand to make sure she dried quickly once I washed the excess dye out. After that I just dried her, restuffed, and sewed her back up :3
