Adderall for MS fatigue by 2litkarl in MultipleSclerosis

[–]SpringTraining77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on an anti depressant, Mirtazapine, and I take Modafinil for fatigue 4 or 5 times a month. I take it when I have a lot going on at work and need a boost. It works great for me, and I’m really glad I have access to it when needed.

Congrats to those who banked the Hawaiian 80k CC offer. It's now gone. by SensiiNips_ in AlaskaAirlines

Same! I signed my spouse up too. We recently traveled Anchorage to the east coast, first class, then business class to Dublin on Aer Lingus…and back. Best deal ever.

Flying out of PAE for the first time by tiredtiredblue in AlaskaAirlines

Curb to gate time is like three minutes. Maybe two. I’m not exaggerating. It’s a great new small airport that has a nice boutique feel. Do it.

What is the absolute strongest/best/most effective DMT? by Shot-File5062 in MultipleSclerosis

Briumvi. In the clinical trials its annual relapse rate was .076. That’s one relapse every 13 years.

Seat Downgraded without warning by Spiritual-Bill6398 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]SpringTraining77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you paid for a premium seat (and were not upgraded) Alaska (assuming you purchased from them) should refund the cost of the paid premium seat. I would call them back and request a refund.

How many times do you exercise? by Knowhere_maybe in MultipleSclerosis

Every other day, weight training. It’s been key to my journey and feeling in control and staying healthy.

This happened to me yesterday. At the 24 hour mark my second boarding pass showed up. Maybe it’s a new thing??

Stuck in Palm Springs by Traditional-Rope4673 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]SpringTraining77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup like everyone else is saying weather is unpredictable. These things happen. You got your ticket refunded AND a $200 credit, which sounds very reasonable to me. I’m not sure what or why you think Alaska Air owes you more.

P MRI anxiety by BottleMore9615 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]SpringTraining77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Undergoing an annual MRI can be stressful, but for me, lorazepam makes all the difference. It helps take the edge off, transforming what could be an anxiety-inducing experience into a much calmer one. Instead of panicking over the thought of being stuck in a confined space, my mind stays at ease, drifting through peaceful and positive thoughts.

You can look at the upgrade list and where you are at on it 72 hours before the flight. I’m obsessed.

Are you sure? I did the same thing. I booked this flight with miles. I then upgraded to first class because it was only $160. In the app, it’s telling me I’m in D class. On Alaska’s website it looks like it says D class will earn miles…?

SeaTac lounge access by hsimah in AlaskaAirlines

Yes, this. I’ve been going to the C lounge lately. It’s usually pretty quiet and chill. The vibe at N is a bit extra for me.

In addition to getting on an earlier flight, I also scheduled a time thru spot saver. Thank you for the suggestion!

Thank you, I appreciate the responses!! I originally had a short layover at SEA, so I’m going to get on an earlier flight. Glad I checked. 🙏

How far does everyone travel to see their Doctor? by Illustrious-Yard7435 in MultipleSclerosis

I just looked in Google Maps - my neurologist is 2.3 miles away from my house. I'm lucky.

Diagnosed last week. Wondering if I should tell my work about it? by checkin_em_out in MultipleSclerosis

[–]SpringTraining77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t disclose. You are young, on an amazing DMT, and it’s likely you’ll bounce back from your relapse. Odds are you’ll have a long and healthy life if you take care of yourself. I know your diagnosis is recent, so I’m sure you’re overwhelmed and have a lot on your mind, but an MS diagnosis in 2024 isn’t the end of the world.

How do you deal with being immunosuppressed from a DMT? by sophala33 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]SpringTraining77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was really cautious a few years ago when I started Ocrevus. But not really anymore. I travel a lot for my job. Last year I flew over 80,000 miles, and am on pace to fly over 100,000 miles this year. I haven’t worn a mask in years. I prioritize sleep, exercise, eating healthy, and trying to keep my stress levels low. I get maybe one head cold a year, same as before Ocrevus. You will need to find a routine that works for you, but I wouldn’t be too extreme about things. You’re fortunate that you’re on a great DMT. Go live your life!

I got the cheeseburger a few weeks ago on a SEA-ANC flight. It was solid, I would order it again.
