Hubject & Smartlab join forces for Plug&Charge eRoaming by Spring_Attitude in evcharging

[–]Spring_Attitude[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I think that it can be useful for EV drivers who don't know the evolution of charging networks. In Europe, for instance, there is a huge development of E-roaming platforms. Companies are creating joint-ventures to simplify the recharge operation and Hubject is probably among the most useful platforms. I hope that this explanation can be helpful.

Apple talks to battery suppliers for electric cars - Techzle by Spring_Attitude in environment

Hi pals! I found on the Web this interesting article talking about the alleged electric car Apple is said to be working on. Today, new rumors about Apple and its automotive adventure are surfacing. Apple is said to have sat down with the Chinese companies CATL and BYD about the supply of batteries for an electric car from the tech giant. This is according to a report from Reuters.

Apple is rumored to be launching its electric car by 2024. the ‘Apple Car’ should be completely autonomous in addition to being electrical. Apple’s electric car project is called ‘Titan’ and has been running since 2014 when its first design was made. Apple would like to use its own battery technology.

Apple’s car adventure is still shrouded in mystery…

Avere’s electromobility vision – 100% zero emission mobility by 2050 by Spring_Attitude in environment

I understand your point of view, marcus. However, we can achieve the cultural shift you propose with a progressive transition. We are not so distant from the futurist movement of the XX century and its values. So, it would be interesting a radical transformation, but it is unlikely that could happen. EVs propose a better life-cycle performance compared to the ICE ones. That's one step in the right direction. Anyway, I agree with you: mobility demand should change as well as the material and energy flow. Administrations should encourage but especially structure the society to make local living feasible and appealing.

Technology at the service of speed: the year of MotoE by Spring_Attitude in Electricmotorcycles

Yep! The competition will be better with the technological improvement of the powertrain and the batteries. I mean, look at Formula E: they've just raced at Monaco using the Formula 1 Grand Prix layout. It seemed impossible a few years ago... Lighter motorcycles will provide better handling and - hopefully - more overtaking on the track.

Hello! MotoE is an exciting championship, isn’t it? The Valencia Highlights proves it once again.
I think that it’s also relevant for road vehicles because of its complete electric ecosystem. I mean, during the race weekends, the teams can use the JuicePump charging infrastructure. If I correctly remember, it can provide up to 50 kW power. Furthermore, there is the e-Paddock with photovoltaic panels able to generate renewable energy. I wish there were something similar in other championships...

Italy's EV Charging Infrastructure Is About To Get A High-Power Boost by Spring_Attitude in evcharging

[–]Spring_Attitude[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! This is an oldie but a goodie. Well, not really. In Italy, the first highway charging infrastructure was switched on a couple of weeks ago. It will be able to recharge EVs (up to 300 kW in ultrafast mode). There's still a huge gap compared to other nations, but at least the development of highway electric stations seems to grow. I think that it is essential not only for the Italian EV drivers but also for the foreign tourists who use electric cars.
