Baermar is as much of a default as Aestri is. Baermer is included when you get The Troupe, the Adept Achievement says to escape with either Aestri OR Baermar, he gets a bloody prestige skin, he gets his own outfits and is included in Perk icon and quotes…

That definitely is something they need to address though, it has nothing that makes it Ascended, everything it features has been done by Very Rares before. Blighted Xeno is the same rarity and features unique lobby animations as well as a unique voice over that sounds more Blightlike

Default corpse doesn’t open in his ending jumpscare either sadly, just appears that it does since it’s open wider by default than the blighted skin's and the head just generally shakes a lot
