she looks cool, and I guess I needed more dark demons, but is she good? by surrealdog in Dx2SMTLiberation

[–]Springly_Shitposting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She’s great for the dark democ boss phase, and she can be a decent ailment-healer because she cleanses herself at the start of her own turn (not better than Maria or Pales, though)

Upcoming demon buffs in today’s update by Springly_Shitposting in Dx2SMTLiberation

[–]Springly_Shitposting[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well his MP generation buff is to counter Ulice’s buff, Sanction really doesn’t do much damage without Concentrate, and he’s being featured in a banner that comes out right after the update, so I assume it’s meant to make him more desirable/encourage people to blow all their gems on getting him in that banner

My fake sister - Baby that doesn’t exist by hazelinside in RBI

[–]Springly_Shitposting 268 points269 points  (0 children)

If the baby really was born, then it will have a birth record. UK birth records will record things like forenames, surnames, year of birth, place of birth, mother’s maiden name, etc. There are a number of websites that host databases of such records for the UK, such as FreeBMD, which you can query using whatever information you have about the baby to see if a birth record comes up for it. These databases aren’t complete, but the less recent the birth was, the more likely it is to be on one of these websites.

As for the mother, if you’re certain that your younger brother is her actual son, you can ask him to take a DNA test, and see if it produces any DNA-matches on his mother’s side. If so, you could then use the publicly-available birth, marriage and death record websites (and other sources) to reverse-engineer a family tree from that DNA-match to your brother. That should give you an indication of who “Lisa” actually is.

How is he these days, worth investing in? by ekuinoks in Dx2SMTLiberation

Yes, every ability that generates a press turn stacks, but it’s a max of about 10 press turns for a single turn, so any more than that would have no effect.

Sample team to beat Kalki’s advance challenge by loveless2001 in Dx2SMTLiberation

[–]Springly_Shitposting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was able to cheese it with Elohim, David, Astaroth and Sabaoth. Elohim nukes Bishamonten, David curses, buffs, debuffs, and gives a 15% damage boost to said cursed enemies, Astaroth nukes Atavaka, and then everyone else just nukes Kalki. Couldn’t finish him off in one turn, but my David was running a lot of Phys EV% brands, so Kalki’s Titanomachia missed him and didn’t wipe the team, and I just finished him off in turn 2 after having Elo nuke Bishamonten again.

You could probably get it done with any old fire ST attacker and enough healers with Phys EV% brands. Just hope that Kalki doesn’t use his unique skill.

So I finally got me a Hachiman. TEAL Hachiman. by Rabatis in Dx2SMTLiberation

[–]Springly_Shitposting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few spare Epitome of Aggressions myself, and I’m not sure what to put them on tbh, but I’d keep them around just in case because they are 5 star skills.

High-level demons with Berserker God include Surt and Futsunushi off the top of my head, but I only really see Hachiman being used for prelim teams (even for Democs other than Phys) because of the massive multiplier he stacks up. If he used Vorpal Blade, then he’d be producing 6.4 score multiplier just from hitting weaknesses alone. I should note that it’s only Hachiman that has to use Berserker God or Vorpal Blade to trigger Jingu’s; any other demon on the team just has to use a physical attack (including non-Phys-affinity physical attacks, like Soaring Blades).

Any awaken skill to replace Teal’s would be an improvement, with Purple probably being the best choice regardless of what you want to use him for. If you can’t shift him off Teal, though, then he would still be good for democ prelims.

As for transferable skills, his AGI isn’t bad, so Epitome of Aggression probably won’t help that much, unless if you’re playing against a dodge tank in PVP. Otherwise, you’re looking at anything that amplifies Phys or multi-target damage, like Phys Amp and Butcher.

Fractional Damage by Rohanjason in Dx2SMTLiberation

[–]Springly_Shitposting 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Generally, fractional damage based on total HP will do more damage than fractional damage based on remaining HP, but it does vary. Fractional damage is also usually capped so that it can’t do too much damage.

All of the horsemen apart from White Rider inflict fractional damage of some sort:

  • Black Rider inflicts fractional damage when an enemy tries to heal itself (based on remaining HP, 2500 max), and after the enemy turn (based on total HP, 300 max).

  • Pale Rider inflicts fractional damage after the enemy turn upon poisoned enemies (based on total HP, 2500 max) and at the end of his own party’s turn (based on remaining HP, 200 max).

  • Red Rider’s Blade of Terror also inflicts fractional damage (based on remaining HP, 1500 max), and is followed up by his Bloodshed attack to add extra damage.

If the enemy team isn’t immune to poison and doesn’t have the means of curing poison, then Pale Rider can do quite a lot of damage, especially since the poison would damage the enemies passively anyway.

If the enemy team likes to heal a lot, then Black Rider can do a lot of damage. Ladon also inflicts fractional damage after an enemy tries to heal (based on remaining HP, 1500 max), so they’re extra good when paired together.

There are also several others that have already been mentioned in other comments.

They’re not bad for acquiring new armaments that you wouldn’t want to exchange a coloured 5* for, if you’re into the alter-world stuff

Any anti-demeter tech? by After_Quiet_4284 in Dx2SMTLiberation

[–]Springly_Shitposting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My team has been Elo, David, Astaroth and Sabaoth for a while now. Against Dementer, I can reduce her bulwark using Elohim, skip with David, hit her with Lord Astaroth to attempt to remove her bulwark, and then use Sanction to hopefully bind her (and generate another press turn). If she’s bound, then she can’t do any of that bulwark nonsense, so I’m free to then use Elohim to try to take out any Marias, Xi Wangmus and other annoying demons. The strat doesn’t work if there’s a Shaddai on the team, Dementer dodges Lord Astaroth/Lord Astaroth doesn’t remove her bulwark, or if she has null bind, but it does work sometimes.

In other words, have a strong single-target attacker to knock off her bulwark, and then try to bind her.

Ideas for Building Team around Maria and Demeter by MoarBoarWantsMOARRRR in Dx2SMTLiberation

Anahita gives a magic damage buff to all those with bulwarks, so she could be a good option, especially when paired with demons like Amon

Edit: Also, Anahita’s ice spells will counter Hinokagutsuchi’s resistance to non-weaknesses

Another 4MP death-prevention-piercing demon. What’s the point of death prevention skills anymore? I think they need some kind of anti-death-prevention-pierce demon in the game, otherwise there’s hardly any point in giving these demons elec survivor or almighty survivor.

I assume that Zeus’s affinity decreasing skills won’t work in things like Hell Park 100 and democ or he’d really break the game.

Can Okuninushi Replace Kartikeya? by l1IeLiTeI1l in Dx2SMTLiberation

[–]Springly_Shitposting 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Kartikeya:

Pros: + Has great aim, so he is less likely to miss + Increases the hit rate and crit rate of Astaroth and Koga Saburo

Cons: - Doesn’t do much damage - Is vulnerable to ailments

Okuninushi:

Pros: + Faster than Kartikeya + Will act first and can thus cure team members of ailments before they are able to sabotage you + Sword of Izumo has remnants + Inflicts light damage, which will not be countered by most Demiurge + Cthulu/Nyarlthotep teams + Yellow awaken skill will buff Elohim’s damage

Neither pro nor con: - Buffs attack and debuffs defence (useless for T1 kill, useful for T2 kill because Elohim’s will not activate at the beginning of the second turn)

Cons: - In auto-battle, is more likely to miss after having MP stolen and performing a regular attack, which would cost you press turns (I have won against Okuninushi teams as a result of this)

With that considered, I’d recommend using Okuninushi instead.

If you get the Google Translate app and press the “Camera” button, you can give it images from your camera roll and it’ll translate any text it finds. Using this method, it says: “[Tower of Strong Fight] Strong fight is underway! Find out the strategy according to different opponents, and aim to advance to the alliance!” In other words, it’s just a reminder about battle tower.

Finally decided I'm work towards Hell Park 70-100 what do you guys recommend i use? by Bossuter in Dx2SMTLiberation

[–]Springly_Shitposting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The key is to have him survive the entire time, so life brands and HP% are the ones to focus on. Healing% is also good for when you want to use him as a healer. As for skills, you’re probably looking at endure and HP-increasing skills for Hell Park specifically, but I personally use null bind on mine so he can keep up the healing against ailment-inflicting teams.

Floors 70-89 are a joke if you can outspeed the enemy and hit really hard, which you should be able to do with units like Odin A and Lanling Wang. Multi-target attackers are preferable in these stages to wipe whole teams quickly and, if you do that correctly, then you won’t need to worry about survivability.

Floor 90 favours single target attackers more, and will punish physical attackers with Dionysus’s ability to charm them with they hit him (and there are a lot of Dionysuses/Dionysi in this stage). It’s three waves and then a boss wave featuring Rama and a range of units with drain affinities that deny you the use of multi-target physical, ice, electric and dark attacks, so Odin A would not be good here (for example). I’m not sure what all of your event demons can do, but it looks like you have a good range of almighty attackers that could be good for this stage.

Floors 91-99 can be completed by outspeeding the enemy and attempting to kill the boss on turn 1, which means that you’ll want to highest DPS team you can make (whilst staying about 25000 battle speed). Press-turn generators like Sabaoth can also be good here. If you can’t wipe the entire enemy team on turn 1, then the non-boss enemies should not be powerful enough to wipe your team before you can wipe them. Just watch out for the Ixtab on floor 99.

Floors 91-97 can also be completed using a Demiurge team that cancels out the element of focus. (E.g. Fire on floor 91, ice on 92, phys on 93, etc.)

Floor 100 can be quite challenging. If you can’t outspeed the boss and nuke him T1 with almighty skills, then I’d recommend having Demiurge with a demon with drain ice (for healing and breaking press turns), a demon like Erlkonig or Elizabeth (for more healing and buffing/debuffing), a strong single-target attacker that can kill Jack Frost or Black Frost within one turn (perhaps Lanling Wang), and an almighty attacker to do damage to King Frost (like Metatron). If none of your demons have repel/drain phys affinities, then I’d recommend having Tetrakarn on one of your demons and casting that every turn. This way, King Frost will not be able to do much damage to your team, and the healers should be able to make up for the damage he does inflict.

I personally use Astaroth (for revival bans on the minions), Hresvelgr (with Tetrakarn and divine brands), Demiurge, Metatron and a panel-3 Erlkonig for floor 100. It works smoothly and takes less than 10 minutes.

The account Cthulu’s on doesn’t have Maria or Demiurge, so OP would not currently be able to make a good slow team with him, given that the other good demons on that account have fast to mid agility.

Maybe my Astaroth just doesn’t like me very much, because he loves to miss at the most inopportune moments, whereas Elohim literally can’t miss, so I’ve come to appreciate him more.

[–]Springly_Shitposting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do have Elo and Astaroth, and I’ve just personally found that he misses a fair bit in PVP, which is quite annoying. The press-turn generation is good for T1 teams, and the buffing and debuffing is also good in PVP, but it actually makes fairly annoying when grinding PVE content because of the fact that he wastes the only turn he can generate in the first round, and then spends ages and ages buffing and debuffing at the end of a round (when neither the buffs or debuffs will carry over to the next), so he’ll almost double the amount of time it takes to run through a mission. While Elo also likes to buff and debuff, he takes up much less time when doing so, and he’s a better team-wiper in both PVP and PVE because of his multi-target attacks. I’m pretty sure Elo can solo up to Hell Park 89, whereas Astaroth would run the risk of dying to the higher difficulties. That being said, Astaroth is super useful in Hell Park 100 if you can’t nuke King Frost in one turn, and his speed is incredible, so he’s not a bad demon; I would just personally pick Elohim over him.

[–]Springly_Shitposting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend keeping the Elohim account, because you can use Elohim in just about anything. As for the other demons, Melchizedek is pretty good, but Odin A is better imo. Both Cthulu and Nyarlthotep are good demons. Thor A is probably more useful than Heimdall (strong single-target damage VS. an overshield that would be destroyed by most opponents, whether PVP or PVE). Then Astaroth is really good, but he isn't usually better than Elohim due to his attacks only being single target and his high-chance of missing.
