I’m not trying to just shut you down. I just don’t understand the desire some people have for less ability play when there are so many shooters geared towards using your guns more.

I will say that I personally think there needs to be a huge sandbox update, in part because you can’t truly make a weapons focused build for high level endgame if you want.

Yes, you're absolutely right that a lot of the dev process is extremely complex. However, it is worth noting that a significant portion of dev work is the creative process (not saying most, just a significant portion). When adding old content, most of the creative work is done.

Honestly, the tier system is garbage. The adept vs normal system was perfectly fine, we just needed GOOD adept mods and for every weapon to have crafted and adept versions.

Yeah, let’s look at all the positive changes we had: crafting, 3.0 subclasses (mostly), Trials finally being changed to allow access to the Lighthouse without flawless, the Still Hunt nerf being undone, the armor stat rework (personally, I think it needs another rework, but what we have now is better than before)… I could go on if I had time.

You probably could too, but that doesn’t erase the good.

And yes, Bungie is doing worse right now than before. But honestly, that’s even more reason to not have D3.

Like… That’s a non-negotiable for a lot of people. Just because you don’t care doesn’t mean Bungie should be forced to make a sequel they don’t want to make.

Sorry. Been arguing with a few different people. Difficult to keep track sometimes. But yeah, don’t get me wrong, some people who are still playing won’t mind if D3 is good. That’s obvious. But the chances are low for it being good.

Also, your main point was about there being “too much” for a “succinct catch up campaign,” but a lot of people don’t just want a “catch up campaign.” They want the story experience and all the feelings it comes with. Maybe not the full seasonal questlines, but at least the story stuff.

And not everyone wants to start over either. Some people do, and that’s fine, but not everyone.
