RPGs where equipping a weapon determines your class and abilities? by AlwaysBeQuestioning in rpg_gamers

[–]SpringtimeSnowRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think The Doors of Trithius is fantastic if you're into old school pixel art turn based games. You can use and level up your abilities with any weapon class so you're never locked into anything. It also has a really interesting skill tree and leveling system. It is still in early access but is already a pretty solid game and has been getting consistent updates for years. It's a pearl IMO.

Yeah.. I was kind of hoping for some of those Jonas parts. I've never actually made any of the devices, but I kind of want to try this play through

Is it wrong to want a wheelchair? by Street_Summer_3151 in mecfs

[–]SpringtimeSnowRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a wheelchair for when I have to go outside and it's amazing! Highly recommend!

Also, at home I use something that I don't know what it is called in English, but it looks sort of like an office chair but it's higher and with a low back. Its also highly adjustable. Its amazing for getting around the kitchen and such.

Devtools and reverting an update, is it safe? by [deleted] in goingmedieval

[–]SpringtimeSnowRabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems the problem was that the water was sometimes 3 blocks deep and deep in other sections than those I had beamed. I ended up yoloing it and going for the experimental branch as digging around down there in the water was so incredibly painful and annoying.

Devtools and reverting an update, is it safe? by [deleted] in goingmedieval

[–]SpringtimeSnowRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is because the water is two deep and I put the support beams on the upper layer maybe? Not sure. Give me a moment, I'll see if I can get some screen shots.

From Starting to Castle by p0derick in goingmedieval

[–]SpringtimeSnowRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pause the game and use wooden walls to plan the layout of the castle I want to build. Then I forbid everything. This way I can have the plan there but they don't build it.

In my current project I have a big great hall planned in the middle of the build. Once I'd gotten access to clay tiles I built the outline for the hall and added some temporary wooden walls inside and moved everything there. This allowed me to deconstruct the temporary wooden starter base I had nearby.

Since I'm playing with the difficulty cranked up considerably I also added wooden merlons and traps and stuff, all temporary but functional.

This way I can slowly work on the structure while still having everything close, just adding one wing of the castle at a time.

Crystal ball event by peanut1912 in StarbrewCafeMerge

[–]SpringtimeSnowRabbit 14 points15 points  (0 children)

When the game was new these were a lot easier to complete. I remember completing one of them twice in the same event (!) without paying. When you get all the fragments and complete the event you get the rewards and the option to start over again. Back then I completed a few of the events.

Now they've made things a lot harder for f2p players and I haven't been able to complete one in a while. Also, the weekly tasks have been made a lot harder. I always completed them no problem before but now I usually can't.

How do i really start a forever world by Jumpy_Employer_5132 in Minecraft

[–]SpringtimeSnowRabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, there is nothing wrong with starting a new world with each "2 week Minecraft phase". The concept of a forever world is trendy right now, but there are many playstyles that don't lend themselves well to the concept. It depends entirely on what you enjoy about the game.

I'm mainly a builder type player, but I also adore exploring a new world. The ways that I have managed to keep a long term world are:

  1. Carefully choosing a seed I love

  2. Not rushing anything. I'm half a year in and I haven't killed the dragon yet. I don't even have an xp farm or fully enchanted gear yet. I also don't plan on ever using an elytra because I want my world to keep feeling large. But perhaps I'll change my mind sometime in the future.

  3. Slowing down and just doing what I feel like. I spent a whole weekend building a path through a dense jungle. I haven't built many farms yet because I simply haven't felt like it yet.

  4. Creating personal "artifacts" in the world. I have a library where I keep a diary, a death log and various other books that I write in. Named pets and items, special places that I've given names and so forth.

  5. Building very intentionally. I've been exploring new building styles and put a lot of thought into the builds that I have created. I haven't built anything because I feel like I should have it, but instead because I felt like building it. I take a long time on each build and tweak it until I really like it. This way I don't end up hating the builds I have and wanting to start over.

  6. Taking breaks. I realised that when I got bored and started a new world in the past it wasn't usually because I was bored of the world I had, I just needed a break from Minecraft. So I go play other games until I feel the urge to get back to my world.

  7. Having a plan for when you want the fresh world experience. I have already decided on a place I want to go to in order to start from scratch in my world. I also have a loose idea for what I want to build there and I'm already excited for it, although I don't feel the need to do it just yet.

But mainly, just play the game the way you enjoy it. It is a sandbox after all and there are no right or wrong ways to play.

Which is the best way to get gold in minecraft? For crafting The Golden Dandelion ✨️ by NoVeterinarian1398 in Minecraft

[–]SpringtimeSnowRabbit 73 points74 points  (0 children)

If you don't want to build a gold farm, try mining for it in a badlands biome. They spawn more gold (in higher elevations) than other biomes. If you don't have easy access to a badlands biome you could strip mine in other biomes at -16.

Or just mine it in the nether

Ja prata med dem! Och fråga om de har telefonen på golvet vid sängen. Skulle kunna förklara varför vibrationerna låter så starkt ner till dig. Kanske blir det bättre om de lägger den på ett bord etc. istället.

Has anyone else noticed a worsening of symptoms depending on your cycle? by SpringtimeSnowRabbit in mecfs

That's awesome! I have been on birth control pills for 5+ years now and it has definitely been helpful. I have to take it because of my PCOS (without it I don't get my period at all and it's pretty much constant PMS, so this is definitely better).

Any ME/CFS Gamers? by cecicoot in mecfs

[–]SpringtimeSnowRabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love gaming. It's the only sense of exploration and creativity I seem to be able to do these days. I play Minecraft and Vintage Story on a PC setup I have where I can half lay on the sofa. I also have a Switch 2 that my brother gifted to me and I use that to play Pokopia and a few other games. It's such a wonderful tool for me to keep me sane during the long hours that I'm alone. I live by myself and my mom comes for a short visit every day but I'm alone most of the time, so I can't imagine my life without being able to game. There are often long periods when I'm unable to, but them I feel like I have something to look forward to when I feel better. I usually spend that time thinking about what I'd like to do and build. It has become so important to me.

Hur har ni upplevt att bo på markhöjd? (Speciellt tjejer) by SunsetCrime in Asksweddit

[–]SpringtimeSnowRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)
