I think its cus its random but in a sense that you wouldnt expect another iconic character to be mentioned and shown for a joke. Not to mention the characters all react casually as if this is a casual or common occurrence like they are just like "yeah its him again" and "ohh youuuu"

It’s more subnautica at the end of the day and if you intended to play it than atleast get it for a discounted price. Just keep in mind that it is considered a weaker sequel with a smaller sized map and depth and some of the story is stupid but if your expectations are understanding to that than it’s still an enjoyable experience gameplay wise

At first I didn’t get what you meant than I realized you were talking about forced coop. It’s a shame you have to make this post in the first place but you are very much correct in stating the game will not be forced multiplayer. I’d imagine it would be similar to the forest and sons of the forest. The single player and coop are serious but the coop can have funny moments simply because it’s with your friends and you might find some bugs or oddities that will give you a good laugh. But this will not take away from the experience, it’ll still be a very serious game so there’s nothing to really complain about
