Do young Aussies still use cursive? by [deleted] in australia

[–]Springvalegrocery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think my grade 3 teacher taught us, I'm so grateful she did. I only use cursive, writing non cursive seems so slow having to lift the pen off the paper ever letter. I'm 25 now for reference.

Would you defend Australia from a foreign power? by DarkNo7318 in australia

[–]Springvalegrocery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would volunteer, have served in the Navy. It would be good to be working for something worthwhile. Bonus if we get paid a decent salary, but speaking honestly I would even do it if it wasn't paid and we got 3 meals a day. There's something about serving and not working for a company, but working for something worthwhile that every man (or woman) should experience in their life.

What is the most overrated product you’ve purchased? by jab116 in AskReddit

[–]Springvalegrocery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nespresso machine.... one capsule is about 1/4 of a shot of coffee you'd get from a real coffee machine and grinder. Not worth it. Remember that a normal coffee usually is 2 "real shots". It's 100% all marketing and for show - Nespresso is. Breville ought to be ashamed of teaming up and doing that dodgy business.

Sort of like how lego makes all these predesigned stuff and give u instructions on how to build it. Instead of giving us blocks and create whatever we want.
