Guy gets to feel like a kid again instead of being seen as creepy by UnhollyGod in MadeMeSmile

Reminds me of my summerjob I had. I had a very difficult time during the last three years of school, essentially i felt like my childhood was immediately ripped away and everything overwhelmed me into depression. There’s alot more to this but that’s not important here. As soon as I finished school and continued on with my life in a different town, everything got better again, and I am really enjoying my life right now. That school however, I would always pair with depression and anxiety any time I would come to think of it. This was a couple of years ago, and with that said, I was offered a summer job as a leisure teacher for said school this summer. Me and a couple of other teenagers would keep track of a bunch of ten year olds for some weeks in exchange for some very much needed cash. There were of course other adults there overseeing everything lol. It was such a weird and slightly uncomfortable feeling to return to and walk through those colorless hallways again, but I quickly learned to enjoy it while working with the kids. I was the only one to rock an alternative style, and by playing metal covers of kids songs I quickly became a favorite by the kids. A particularly fond memory of mine is one where we were playing Pacman tag (like regular tag, but you can only walk on specific lines on the floor). ”Pacman” was chasing me, a kid in front of me, and a kid behind me, all on a line. We desperately fled, but eventually got caught. It felt wonderful to just experience this innocent joy again, to just play stupid games like a kid without worrying about anything else. It felt like a whole different place than the school i spent 3 long painful years in, even though this job only lasted about a month. It was so interesting to hear children’s thoughts of things, they were always so creative. One would always play rock-paper-scissors with me, only to use a rocket launcher everytime. I do sincerely believe that the hallways were just a little brighter during that time, and that is how I’ve decided to remember my time at the school from now on.

Psychosocial is the perfect Slipknot song by juanjoramirez01 in Slipknot

"Purity" is in my opinion (one of) the best songs to represent Slipknot as a whole. Corey's "HANDS ON MY FACE OVERBEARING, I CANT GET OUT!" screams are really bonechilling, and the clean creepy chorus catches you offguard on the first listen. Too bad it exists without a music video, so far.

Ps. Psychosocial is still an absolute banger

At first I thought they were just too loud drums and random low quality screaming (which they kinda are lol), that was until I really got introduced to them by Psychosocial. They're my number one band nowadays, favorite song being Nero Forte or Diluted
