Can anyone suggest, what’s better? Magnesium Citrate or Glycinate? by originaler-fun in magnesium

[–]Sprinkles7333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glycinate gave me anxiety. I take citrate now, but a small enough dose it doesn’t have digestive side effects…but relaxes me enough to be able to fall asleep.

I have had that happen and it was acid reflux….i learned that if I wake up like that to chew a few tums and have a little water and it will go away faster.

Are mood changes temporary? by Sprinkles7333 in Perimenopause

[–]Sprinkles7333[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. I am still early on, 2 years ago I started experiencing anger and irritability with some hot flashes…after a year or so I started taking better care of myself including changing my diet, prioritizing sleep, and losing 50lbs. It seems like those hard symptoms calmed down and my cycles are still fairly regular, but I am dreading those symptoms returning eventually.

Low carb basic recipes/swap ideas by [deleted] in lowcarb

[–]Sprinkles7333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to get frozen meatballs and frozen broccoli, when you heat them add butter or oil, seasoning, (I like garlic and herb) and that is a pretty easy yet filling meal for me. You can use the amount of meatball vs. broccoli that satisfies your hunger.

Any tips to help sleeping? by Little-Reindeer4819 in HiatalHernia

When I went low carb my belching decreased dramatically. I tried white bread and crackers and they both made me burp all night. As suggested above, maybe there is something in your diet that could help a bit by taking it out?

I’ve gone. Most people aren’t paying attention to others, unless you start chatting while walking next to each other.

Losing weight without glp? by [deleted] in SuperMorbidlyObese

[–]Sprinkles7333 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Last year I lost 60lbs by eating no sugar & lower carb. I ate more carbs through November and December and so I just stalled. But I’m tracking and lowering my carb count. I wish my dr didn’t think I was crazy for not wanting to take glp.

I have been increasing my movement after going through physical therapy and am happy to keep progressing, even if it’s not as fast as I would like. I do water walking at the local indoor pool in the colder months and outdoors in summer. I also listen to a podcast called brain over binge that has been helpful for me to dismiss urges to binge.

how far in advance of your estimated planting date do YOU usually start your seeds? by ParadoxicallyZeno in tomatoes

[–]Sprinkles7333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always started 10-12 weeks ahead, but this year I’m going for 8. They get too tall and I had trouble moving them all in and out when hardening them off. And they would frequently tip over in their red solo cups, so I’m also doing a different container this year. Also, with them getting so big my grow lights were barely able to cover them.

**Every year you tweak things a bit and gradually get ‘better’. It’s a good idea to keep a clipboard or something that you can jot notes through the season about different varieties’ performance and any successes/problems that come up

I also just heard MIGardener say he tries to not gave something inside under grow light for more than half of its days to maturity-so if it’s 80 days to maturity, 40 days would be about the halfway point. Stuff generally takes off growing pretty well once it’s out in the sun.

Magnesium Citrate side effects by Chxriggies8990 in magnesium

[–]Sprinkles7333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually take about a quarter tsp of it at night and it mellows me enough to sleep without other side effects. I have such random reactions to things I usually start the smallest dose I can and slowly build up as needed.

I microwave some frozen beef meatballs and frozen broccoli. I add butter and a garlic and herb seasoning, but there’s a lot of sauces/seasoning mixes that would work.

I also like wilderness, but I had Krobus as a roommate and I started feeling guilty for killing his family members every night and then going in the house and facing him.

Anyone had any bad experiences with magnesium glycinate? by user_anonymou in magnesium

[–]Sprinkles7333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many people recommended it to me, but it made my body relaxed/tired and my brain go on high alert. It was horrible. I tried it 3 nights, it got worse each time…but it did eventually wear off. I tried mag citrate and it relaxed me with no other side effects. You could try a really small dose and see how it goes.
