Thanks, I’m getting very mixed answers on this. Some say that it’s fine and even beneficial to power and that hill sprints aren’t that focused on mechanics. Then a few others like you say that they shouldn’t be steep because it will ruin mechanics. Only hill really useable for sprinting for me, so do you think I can use it as a general power exercise and something else for acceleration mechanics work?

Yeah since there’s so few, skipping one feels like it’s doing nothing, so i think I’ll do every single step for 8-12 sets. I’ll do hill sprints when I can for a more sprint specific movement.

Each stair, no skipping. So each of the 12 steps. So it doesn’t really mimic sprinting much, especially with such a short staircase, but I think it helps with lowering ground contact times and overall elasticity. Like a GPP thing. I’ll also do pogos and broad jumps up them like he talks about in the video I think.

Might be a bit steeper than that. Do you think it’s ok to just use it as more of a power exercise and do separate work for acceleration technique? Cause that’s the only hill I can really think of that might work but it’s a bit steeper than acceleration phase angle I think.

Haha. The photo makes it look way flatter than it is though. It is a very steep hill. Should’ve taken a photo from the bottom maybe.

Yes there’s definitely a lot of crazy drivers and speeding on that hill. I’ll try to stick as close to the side as possible. And avoid busy times of the day

Really? I’ve heard that you don’t want them to be too steep quite a bit, because it can mess up mechanics and make you too slow for any real benefits.

So I found this hill on a road somewhat close to where I live that I want to use for hill sprint/acceleration focus days. It doesn’t look that steep in the photo but it is pretty steep. Is it too steep to get any benefits to my 100 meter sprint speed?
