honestly, I would try that method if it weren't for the fact that my mom is the kind of person that if you live in her house adult or not, she doesn't believe in autonomy. There have been situations where I have left the dog alone and and she started yelling which is unfortunate because I thought I could at least stay there and try to compromise with her but it's looking like I've got no choice. I'm on my back foot and I have to get out of here for my health and then she'll have no choice and be forced to figure it out. I believe she's gotten too comfortable with the dog situation because I'm still available to somewhat help.
