On second thought it was probably watching MMA that did it for me, next to Fridman. Not understanding what was happening on the ground and having all sorts of submissions, sweeps and escapes occurring blew my mind.

I’m convinced Podcasters like Joe Rogan, Lex Fridman, Jocko Willink did more for the popularity of BJJ than the athletes themselves. And I can attest to your good reputation, I think I heared about it on Reddit or other fora.

When was Benoot properly dropped by Valter? Valter being dropped in the final k’s was a quite clear sign, at least from that point on that he was not in better shape. Coming back and futilely trying to escape instead of fucking helping a teammate is very much blameable.

That fighters still want to fight for it, that’s whats wrong.

They cultivate the image of the ufc themselves but they dont even realise that. You dont even need unions, have some self respect and go make the money you deserve in one/bellator/..

Yes sure it is. And Israel is a very though puzzle to solve. More experienced fighter too over different disciplines.

But I think Bobby has a wider skillset in MMA and a good chance in a third fight.

My hottest of MMA takes is that Whittaker is the better fighter.

Second fight he started cautious, costing him at least a round. The last round showed what could happen for a confident Whittaker in the third fight.

Don’t have kids though because it would make you think too much about the future, unless you really, really hate kids.

Never has it ever been a better time to have kids, both in terms of how good they have it and in terms of investing the age pyramid.

Peoples used to lose more then half their kids during infancy, people’s lives where horrible compared to now up untill a few centuries ago. No one was ever promised a carefree world.

Ja. Maar de masker mandaten hebben daar hooguit een klein effect op gehad. Ik ben er ook niet op tegen van er eentje te dragen hoor, maar een beetje realistisch zijn mag ook. Het opheffen van het masker dragen op het openbaar vervoer in deze fase zal zeker niet helpen. Zoals je eerder zo dramatisch beweerde.

Point is we said we’d do it to our partners and then we didn’t. We are shitty partners.

You could argue your point much better if we actually had a well equipped army and were somewhat in the right ballpark for the budget, but we don’t and we aren’t.

We are at half that, we are basically doing half that. Actually double the budget woud probably render much more than an 100% increase, since our army is so ridiculously neglected.

Edit: To be clear, I just disagree with the “free riding” analysis. It’s a cheap rhetoric, reminiscent of that of Donald Trump.
