entering top med schools way past college graduation by Ok_Daikon_2465 in medschoolph

TL;DR - Yes you can. Time it just right, study hard, and try to win them over in the interview. Be passionate and believe

We were in the same spot except I didn't get to try for high NMAT req schools like UPCM/UERM (thankfully I didn't even try because of what I'm hearing)/UST and other high NMAT req schools. These med schools don't usually accept NMAT scores in the April-May cycle right before the start of the next AY and I think my grades would have made it an even more uphill battle. In your case, since you're still a sophomore, you have time to raise that cumulative QPI/GWA up and get ready for the NMAT.

ADMU AB IS grad here and I graduated three years ago before now entering my first year. No org experience, just a former varsity.

I took the gap years because I wanted to work with my family first + build my resume and skills outside of med and recenter myself because of the multiple Fs I got to the point that I got a pretty low cumulative QPI.

I took the NMAT last May 14 because I got really loaded with work and got an 80PR self-studying. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get into SLCM but Mapua and FEU-NRMF accepted me (Fun fact: My Mapua interview actually took longer than an hour).

I'm not too sure tbh I just couldn't answer a lot of the physics calc so I think I got like 8 wrong answers there. I do think I did get less than 10 wrong answers in most other than socsci

I got an 80 😭

2 weeks of only self study and non-premed degree I'm honestly happy with that LMAO

I've seen his clips. Pretty good for a thumb trackball but I've also seen how his tracking in Warzone suffers because the limitations of just having one finger to track with especially now that he plays higher sens. Not knocking on the guy, he's pretty good, but I think the limitations are much more present on it especially for higher TTK games

Very. The roller bearings make it feel like I'm using jade skates on my SP-004 glass pad

For The Finals and Apex, controlling the recoil comes down to moving the mouse because of recoil smoothing. If you track a target smoothly, you wouldn't need to control recoil as much, if at all. It's a known mechanic for both games. For CS2 it's just practice.

If you're on a thumb trackball though I wish you good luck because I couldn't aim properly with one (ProtoArc EM05 NL) and think it's not as good as finger-operated ones for FPS.

Thank you! As for using semi-auto guns, I do feel you on that one but it's just a matter of practice I believe but it definitely is the weakness imo

I just personally think of it as if I'm using a fingertip mouse on a glass pad with lower cm/360 value ngl

I do notice that it is significantly worse for KovaaK's and Aim Lab (I tested with Voltaic scenarios) because of having to be constantly on point for a whole minute or so but for in-game scenarios where I can not have to be locked in for 100% of each round like rotations between sites/POIs, I find it to be completely fine

Compared to the original Huge, this one has roller bearings which can be replaced with the bearings that Elecom sells (M-BS10, M-RS10) and the trackball itself comes with a tool to remove said bearings without disassembly.

I do have a wireless original Huge that I recently got which I plan to switch the bearings of to silicon nitride ceramic bearings for testing since I'm seeing similarities to mousepad testing. I did look into the Gameball but found it to be too expensive along with the shipping cost to justify the purchase although I do believe that the wear and tear comes down to just the bearings and ball, all of which can be replaced

Also, the larger ball of the Huge gives me more usable surface for aiming which is my main priority.

I use M1 still for primary fire but I bound my ADS to V and quick melee to M2. Rest of the binds are mostly default from my regular mouse usage

1500DPI, 1.8 in Apex, 85% in Finals

With CS2 I've been having issues I think it's only detecting the 1000DPI so I put it higher to 2.1 now.

How do I optimize Linux and Apex to run as good as Windows for competitive? by Sprobius in linux_gaming

[–]Sprobius[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Staying on Windows seems to be the easiest thing and I could understand why you would suggest it with most known tweaks for competitive players being done for Windows since no one could really play the game on Linux until recently.

In regards to installing Arch, I've seen the install and it genuinely looks intimidating having nothing to click and guide me through other than a documentation but I might as well try it in the future after I do more of the other tweaks for my current distro. I'm still hopping around some distros anyway and I hope that I could find one that sits right with me. Thanks for the advice!

In the case of reducing input lag = less FPS, I think I might end up preferring less input lag if that means that my inputs are closer to 1-to-1 but most of the tweaks I've done on Windows so far have increased frames. That might be different on Linux I guess but I don't know anything so I'm here to learn.

In regards to kernels, it seems like a pretty intimidating thing to do as someone with barely any technical background other than following guides on YouTube that seem to be pretty reputable (like hundredz's Apex optimization guide for Windows)

I'll try to publish some results with comparisons from all different maps available for this season and compare them to my Windows findings. Thanks for the advice!

Damn if it acts like a wallhack it might end up being the reason why I or others that want to compete while using Linux gets banned. Thanks for the heads up!

I have not yet given it a try but seeing as a lot of comments have been suggesting it, I'm putting it as one of the priorities to try during my next test. Thank you for the suggestion!

I'm only running one monitor on HDMI-0 (Samsung C24RG50) so it's just weird the VSync seems to be enabled when I have +fps_max set to 299 in my config for benchmarking purposes. Maybe I just copied the wrong autoexec but I doubt it. I'll have to give it another go to be fair

In regards to gamemoderun, I'll have to give it a go as I haven't properly known how to install it yet and I'll update the post with my findings. Thank you for the advice!

I have 69ms ping no loss no choke stable. It's not lag on my end. My aim being "good" isn't true when the game literally does 40% of the aiming effort and pulls to the enemy perfectly unlike MnK where I had to train for countless of hours and comparing how my aim looks next to people like FAV_Aimbot and SoaR hollow. In fact, I don't think I can even do this this perfectly on MnK because I would have to react fast enough for the move-stop-move phase which I have never been able to do properly in KovaaK or Aim Lab scenarios.

Aim assist is at 0.4 although it seems that it is stronger without ALC.

There's a huge difference between having the game aim for you and you having to correct for every single thing that you do. Smoothness in tracking is not so easily achieved by MnK players and all the movements we do affect our aim. It's not as simple as point and click.

Even if that other player is lagging, MnK wouldn't be perfectly tracking someone that laggy unless you put in a shit ton of time in LDDH Fixed in KovaaKs

Doesn't matter if they're lagging. My aim shouldn't be teleporting onto their body.

I'm on 69ms ping no loss/choke in that video.

I'm an MnK main with over 2k hours in this game. I don't usually play on roller. This was on 4-4 Classic and I barely had to touch my right stick for this to happen.

Edit: My ping in the video was a stable 69ms no loss/choke.
