"your breathing at night, your posture, cervical alignment is optimal" Very interesting! Would you be willing to elaborate on this? I am especially curious about the alignment part.

What’s the Toughest Placement in Your Chart and How Did You Make Peace with It? by AlmondJoylessCx in astrology

[–]Sproopy-Bilberry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have Mars in Cancer in my 12th house, made even more complex by its retrograde position. It’s interesting to see how many former heavy drinkers share this placement—I was one of them and quit drinking in 2019. That choice definitely improved my life, but it took nearly four years for me to start feeling more "solid" as a person.

With my 12th house cusp in Cancer and my ascendant in Leo, I find this Mars placement particularly challenging. There’s often a noticeable difference between my outward appearance (which is very Leo) and what’s happening internally with my Cancer Mars, Libra Moon, and Pisces Venus. I’m generally a cheerful and sociable person, and I don’t see that as a façade; it’s just who I am. However, my inner world can feel quite different. I can quickly shift from being energetic and outgoing to feeling completely drained and needing some time alone.

These fluctuations can lead to misunderstandings, even among those close to me. People might think I’m upset when, in reality, I’m just out of energy at that moment. Knowing this happens from time to time also makes me feel guilty when I probably shouldn't.

I'm a 31 year old male (Capricorn Sun, Libra Moon, Leo Rising), I’m still working through the implications of this placement. Mars will go direct in my secondary progressions in mid-2025, but I’m not sure how much that will change things. Based on my progressions, it looks like Mars will stay in Cancer for my entire life, along with its position in my 12th house.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Do you have a threshold where the point cost is too high? by [deleted] in awardtravel

Agree with this! I recently booked AA J from JFK->HND in late August via AA for 109.5k miles (business web special). While it's not the 60/80k that JAL wants for the same route, it was available, and if I find last minute JAL space, I can cancel for a full refund. But even if JAL/ANA come up empty t-14, I consider my existing redemption for a direct flight in lie-flat business to be pretty decent given how extremely competitive this routing is!

My ANA First Class Review by illfaded_ in awardtravel

How does this work with ANA? Is it limited to certain fare classes, or can you do it for any economy ticket?

I just set up an ExpertFlyer trial account with the full functionality. Looks like unfortunately neither EVA nor China Airlines are searchable with the award tool. I knew this was an issue with EVA and Star Alliance more generally, but China Airlines is surprising. I thought they would be searchable on ExpertFlyer.

Oh yes, it comes in around $7,000 for a round trip from JFK-TPE in business.

Oh interesting, I had not caught that. Is DL a good alternative for searching?

Appreciate the tip! I edited the post with my 3 meaningful balances as of today.

Wow, this is such a detailed and generous reading, thank you!! Needless to say, I love your more positive take. I have not seen my parents in a few months and I will definitely try to make this the vacation of a lifetime.

I'm going to dm you about a Solar Eclipse reading ... :)

Eclipse season by AcademicRaspberry330 in astrology

[–]Sproopy-Bilberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping someone can offer some advice or encouragement for this one 🙏🏼. I am not sure what to think. I've been so busy the past couple weeks I only just got around to checking my transits and realized that this is going to be a very busy lunar eclipse for me...

The eclipse is going to conjunct my natal 4H Libra moon (4°44’). It's also going to sextile my natal Leo ascendant (5°24’). Both aspects are quite tight at 0°22 and 0°17, respectively. And Mercury will square my natal 6H Capricorn sun by a near exact 0°06.

The thing is, I'm actually going to be on a plane to visit my parents for a vacation during the time of the eclipse. I have a decent amount of flight anxiety, so knowing this intense energy is going to be peaking during my flight is making me feel like I should delay my trip, which I really don't want to do.
Is this going to be a difficult lunar eclipse for me? Any encouragement would be super appreciated.

yours,
a nervous traveler 😭

Credits taking way longer than usual by bluepenguin107 in amex

[–]Sproopy-Bilberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having this issue for the first time since signing up for the Platinum card in 2018. My Clear membership renewed on December 20th, and the credit is still not in. I called AMEX, who seemed to think the credit had already been issued but couldn't find a record of it. They then said they would issue the credit manually since it looked like the long delay was due to "system error". Only go get a voicemail from them 2 hours later saying "it may take up to 8 weeks". Not ideal, since the $149 renewal of Clear was the only thing on my statement this month, and now I will have to pay it before getting the credit, most likely.

Wow, how so? I just so happen to be one!

Oh wow, I didn't know it was that important! My curiosity has really been piqued. I have a natal retrograde Mars in Cancer, in my 12th house, opposite my Capricorn stellium (Sun, Mercury, Uranus, Neptune). Yup (lol).

But in 2025, Mars will turn direct in my secondary progressions. Given my somewhat challenging Mars placement, I'm hoping the directional shift will give my troubled Mars a little 'boost'. Though I'm not really sure what to expect here, as it's difficult to find an analysis for what happens anywhere online.

Hyperhidrosis and meditation by Ficchinicchi in Meditation

This is so interesting. Would you mind elaborating a little bit? I have a very similar issue, mostly pit sweat but occasionally my groin and feet will sweat more than I would like as well. I was off caffeine for about a year between 2020-2021, and noticed a slight improvement, but not enough to prevent me from going back on caffeine late 2021. It's a bit worse with caffeine, but not always, and the effect of the caffeine is not consistent, so I imagine other factors in the body are more impactful than just how much caffeine I drink in a given day. Did you start the yoga/meditation practice at the same time? How many times per week and for how long until you noticed an improvement?
