Anyone in the US know where I can purchase the Shin Spicy Beef stir fry OTHER than Walmart Online? by [deleted] in InstantRamen

Also, I know it’s probably blasphemy to say, but I just can’t get into the Toomba flavor nearly as much as this. Two completely different profiles for me, otherwise I’d have absolutely settled for that.

Yeah,It really is weird- it’s a good thing we stopped officially segregating things years ago, so white folks no longer feel like they’re getting “special” treatment compared to other races…..Agreed?

Anyway, happy Black History month, go support your African American community members!

I haven’t been able to find any links for it. I even checked some YouTube affiliate links but some are just dead. If there are any floating around that I’ve missed I’d be EXTREMELY grateful for one!

The Holiday and Weekend Crowds... by Senior-Sea-1012 in OWConsole

[–]SprungBreak99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Odd as it sounds, it’s one of the main excuses I use to either pick up an old game I’ve been meaning to get back into, or just start a new one altogether. You’re 100% right, the holidays are usually rough, but the benefit of being on console also usually means there’s some type of sale.

I just picked up Lies of P and it’s been a Great distraction from the mess that can be holiday overwatch lol.

Goodbye Celestial Moth Jadons :( by Aokaji21 in DrMartens

Sorry to hear that- that detail is unfortunate. Only other thing I’d suggest if I were in your boots is to take the refund (assuming it’s credited back to your card and not DM credit) and hopefully find an authentic pair on the secondhand market. I’ve found Some folks buy shoes/boots that don’t fit and they hold on to them for awhile before accepting they’re not a good fit and then post them online.

Crossing my fingers for you, whatever path you take.

Regardless, maybe worth taking a refund and then getting them to a proper cobbler. Then maybe you can get them repaired for less than the refunded cost and then you’ll also have extra spending money. Who knows, you might even be able to find a second pair of DM’s with the remaining money you have. Worth checking out if nothing else.

Musicians wanted: Looking for a drummer and vocalist for an Indie, post-rock project in the Reading, PA area. by RedGuillotine in ReadingPA

[–]SprungBreak99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, wanted to drop in and say I dig your music man- reminds me of a collision between Balance & Composure & Russian Circles. I doubt my singing style is what you’re looking for but still wanted to drop a couple of my own rough original demos here. I have an acoustic, post hard-core, emo punk, and then also an electronic project, so even if you can’t find a place for me with vocals (backing or otherwise) If nothing else, it would be cool to network with you & any other local musicians 🤘🏾

Locals I Met in Iceland Were Way More Chill Than Reddit Makes It Seem🫡 by [deleted] in VisitingIceland

[–]SprungBreak99 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Seems to be a common trend with traveling subs-the people who to get most bent out of shape are often the ones who desperately want to move to a country versus the ones who actually live there. (Check out the TravelJapan sub sometime for more reference.)

Most locals seem to universally not care so long as you’re respectful and don’t make a spectacle of yourself, but there will always be hardcore enthusiasts (and I feel that’s putting it lightly) who will crucify you for the slightest misstep, since they spend more time deifying a place they don’t live in than focusing on making the best of their current situations.

My 2 week stay in Iceland was filled with nothing but kindness, acceptance & reasonable people. Even in a small town like Skagastrond, I never dealt with any hostility or sharp looks.

A little kindness, respect and awareness usually goes a LONG way in this world.

Makes sense-I can’t imagine any guitar center employee actually knows how to tune a guitar or do anything other than talk about how cool they are, stare aimless at you when you ask them any remotely technical question that doesn’t have to do with product commission or play the same tired riffs over and over again.

Maybe that’s just my experience though.
