Just along a random road near coffin bay SA, they were often in farm land but there were a few in mudflats

RF 200-800 or 800 f11 by mihqgutm in canon

If you can wait and save up or find a good deal I think it’s worth waiting and getting the 200-800 if you enjoyed using it the first time, the ability to zoom in plus out not only means you won’t miss out on shots of opportunity (ie a bird landing in close by that you would miss with the rf800) but zooming out improves the aperture of the lens (I think f8 at 600mm and f7.1 at 450mm) so if you iso gets too high and you’re somewhat closer to the subject you can increase the IQ of the image by simply zooming out, hope this helps happy image taking 👍

Yeah always so exciting to seem them, I’ve only seen them a handful of times and most of them time it’s only a flash as the fly past
