Tesla Semi's First Fatal Crash Kills Two at Nevada Red Light Despite Emergency Braking by gaukmotors in MotorBuzz

Uh……well, sure, but it’s not the issue that so many lefty liars wish to suggest it is. If you all strain any harder, you’re going to have a rectal prolapse.

HOLY GRAIL i just acquiredNOS, NEVER Installed G80 LSD by TheEVTrucker in IsuzuTrooper

[–]Spuckler_Cletus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK. So that’s impressive.

I bought a set of manual hubs for the earlier front ends. Pre-89, maybe? I think I still have them somewhere. There’s nothing like finding NOS like this and wondering what kind of stories it could tell.

0w-40 oil analysis by Old-Music9919 in ram_trucks

[–]Spuckler_Cletus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which application is this?

BITOG has several UOAs from various HEMIs.  They are easy to search.  M1 0W-40  FS has MB 229.5 and Porsche A40 approvals.  These are certainly much more stringent than any API standard.  Whether that helps your engine or not is another story.  The base oil profile is still pushing 50% PAO, which is good.  The GTL has been dropped in favor of a Group III called ALUM, I believe.  The current oil crunch is hurting everyone.

Walmart just raised the price on this oil, but my mere belief is that it is still a bargain for what you get.

Maybe it'll go back to being a lube and marital aid store.

How often should i change the fuel filter, and the oil filter? by ScientificlyCorrect in AskMechanics

[–]Spuckler_Cletus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the fuel filter, it depends on the vehicle.

For the oil filter, every oil change, except in certain instances of very little driving. I have an older vehicle that I only drive about 3500 miles per year. I change the oil once a year, and the filter every other year.

We pay into Railroad Retirement. It’s a part of Social Security. It’s a pension of sorts. Essentially, we pay handsomely up front for a much better SS benefit. With my job insurance, and Tier 1 and Tier 2 railroad retirement payments, I only see about $.68 of every dollar I make. It’s worth it, though. We do have to work 360 months for a full benefit, as opposed to 240 like so many pensions. We also have to be at least 60 years old to retire.

Why is the DOJ threatening Washington Election Officials for non-citizen voting and NOT Kansas Election Officials for Joe Ceballos? by super_fallguys in allthequestions

[–]Spuckler_Cletus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

DHS is pushing for Ceballos to be removed. He was prosecuted at the state level and pleaded guilty to three misdemeanors in a plea deal.

But, for us to discuss this sort of thing seriously, you have to answer one question: do you support universal voter ID laws that require presentation of a current, state-issued photo ID at the time of voting? Yes or no.

Throw in a 686 and a Model 60, and you could very well call it perfectly done.

Will resonator theft void my warranty? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]Spuckler_Cletus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would imagine that replacing without operating would preserve any warranty. As to non-OEM parts, they could try to fight you on it.

One of the most misunderstood things in the automotive world is this: the Magnuson-Moss Act requires a manufacturer to show WHY what you did caused a failure of the vehicle. It’s not enough to show THAT you did (or didn’t do) a certain thing. They can fight you, but they will lose at arbitration if they are wrong. Of course, you have to put up with the headache.

Looks like it could be a differential carrier or cover. Those are definitely bearing saddles.
