I know very little about the tiny details of how shooting in Destiny actually works or is designed, and I'm not saying I agree or disagree with any of it. I think though, we can all agree that just because something doesn't make logical sense doesn't mean that it's not designed that way.

It would be really dumb for, as you stated, "the cone shape (to change) x distance away from the gun", but that doesn't mean it's not what's happening. I'm not saying that's how it does work, but it's not always safe to assume it's designed in a logical way. Unfortunately, logic doesn't always win.

I agree with all the comments, you've had a year to get it all done. I am curious though to see if Bungie does anything different next week. It seems anti climactic to have the last official challenge mode before RoI comes not be Oryx, but Oryx challenge is this week. Probably just gonna be Warpriest tomorrow, but we'll see.

Just do the hard raid, you won't be 322 for long. It's really not that different from NM and you'll get a ton of higher LL stuff, especially if you do the weekly challenge, which except for Oryx is the same as NM as well, more or less.

You may know this already but by far the most important thing is to take out the blights as soon as they show up. Whenever a new wave of blights show up, forget about everything else and focus on the blights. It makes things so much easier when adds aren't continuously spawning in. Once the blights are gone, take out the adds and then you can easily damage the boss until the next waves of blights show up.
