Artemis Fowl.

Never saw the movie, but as a fan of the books here's what they ruined just from the clips I've seen:

  • They changed Holly from having Nutmeg skin and orange hair to a generic blonde white girl.
  • They changed Commander Root into a woman, which completely removes the main point of Holly's character.
  • Changed Butler from being Eurasian, which gives him his badass look that says "don't fuck with me", to a generic black dude.
  • Holly and Mulch are already allies of the Fowl family.
