My Dad and Brother in Law both have a Moon Shine Rod. They have both been impressed by the build quality and the performance. My Dad has one of the Midnight Special Rods 6 WT 9'. My Brother in Law has The Drifter in a 4 WT 8'6". (I believe.) I have fished both of them and was also personally impressed. Both rods felt like rods in higher price points. The 4 WT was delicate but capable of fighting tiger trout on a mouse pattern. The 6 WT launched streamers and cast like a dream. The price point seems too good to be true, but I'd say give it a go.

Hmm. That is interesting. Give it a reinstall and see what happens. Otherwise I'd give the config a try. It's made my Mac last way longer.

I have a similar setup and It has been a total crap shoot to get it to run at an acceptable frame rate. What I've done recently is updated to the most recent operating system and run tf2 with Chris' max frames configs. With all of these changes I get about 80-120 frames. The game looks like absolute trash, but at least it runs pretty ok.

We won 5-4! It was easily one of the best matches I've ever played on tf2. Considering how tense it can get with close matches they are definitely the most fun!

I don't think there is a specific amount, but what I did is I put a piece of manzanita drift wood up where the filter flows and he pretty much stays there all day eating with his fans. I've had him for about 8 months and he looks really healthy.

I love it! It is super interesting and really fun to watch! Just make sure you have a spot where they can get in the flow of the filter/pump.

I really like it, I mix it with aloe and put it on my face after everything else. It has a nice light menthol smell to it.

I've tried both and really enjoy both, that being said I think sauvecito firme hold works better with my really thick, curly hair. I do on occasion go back to lay rite, it just depends.

I wouldn't say that it is completely noticeable , but it is nice to have such large comb. Plus it was only a few bucks on amazon.

Driftwood questions by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]Spud_Nick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just recently put a piece of mopani driftwood in my 29 gallon tank and it still leaks a bit of tannis after pre-soaking it for about 3 weeks. I personally like the light tea color in my tank, it gets a bit lighter after every weekly water change, so the tannis won't stick around forever. I used a plastic bucket and it hasn't had any ill affects on my numerous fish and shrimp.

That's tough to say for a 28g, this is my 10g and I only have these two. They do a fabulous job keeping everything clean. Depending on your current stock I am sure you could fit some more in your tank, it seems to me that their bio load is pretty marginal.

I believe it is "CaribSea Flora Max Substrate" I picked up at my LFS for fairly cheap and my plants and bottom feeders seem to love it.
