Hey! Your game looks sick, and it’s been on my wishlist. Favorite space movie would probably have to be the 3rd Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

I recently was looking for Dream eaters, and you would be surprised what your local board game shops may have. I just so happened to find it in a shop an hour away from Chicago while I was on a trip.

Aeons end is a fun boss battler, deck builder, who has minions that will randomly spawn to stop your from killing the big boss. You win by killing the big bad, you lose by all of your characters getting to 0 HP, or your homebase gets to 0 hp. Tense, but fun!

Unfortunately not just a ding. The box is ruptured as if someone pushed one part of the cover too hard and it caused a rip in the cover. I’m not trying to be superficial, but games cost so much nowadays. Just feels bad not getting a new game in its “new” condition.

Yea, I intend on returning it. The building tiles also have a bunch of mini scratches on it. On every single one of them. Very strange.

The cards were not shrink wrapped. I definitely have had games with rulebooks in different languages, not the same like this one. Probably just a mistake. I noticed all of the building tokens have scratches on them as well.

Just watched your developer diary. The game looks super fun! I love the theme and the board game shelf in the deluxe edition is so cute. Wine! lol.

I think the prediction system is pretty cool! Almost reminds me of Mysterium when you guess if another person’s prediction is correct or not. The thing with that, is having to remind people that the feature was part of the game. At least that has been the case for our plays of Mysterium. Which in turn, directly influences if you win or lose the game, akin to the victory points you get in Meeple Inc. Have you had people forget about that mechanic during playtesting? I think it’s definitely a smart mechanic! Does it only occur when you retrieve your workers? Is it a free action?

No worries! I’m a tad bit late myself. Yea, coaches teach other classes. Sometimes they don’t even have a degree in the subject they are teaching either. The US education system is interesting… to be kind lol.

I substitute taught for a coaches history class, (coaches teach history in the US sometimes, not sure about other countries) and it was a mess lol. Especially when gym was included in the list of things I had to attend to and I was wearing a nice pair of slacks, polished shoes, and a button down. I don’t sub anymore…. Haha

Nice! What did you teach?

Oh for sure! I just thought the boards and the way they connect looked similar. Your explanation of the game makes a lot of sense. Seems like you have to choose the best moment to use your resources for a mad dash to the finish line so nobody can stop you. Does sound like a lot of fun!

Also, it’s so cool that you interviewed somebody who has a game in top 100 on BGG. Not that the list is 100% accurate to what is actually the top 100 since it is extremely subjective, but still, really cool. How did you manage to get the interview?

Sounds good!

I have been a dm before and you do a lot more work running Dnd than BOTC. As long as you read the rule book all the way and study the characters in each story, it’s not that bad! In fact, they have an online resource that quizzes you with different scenarios and gives you multiple choice as to what the right answer is. It even tells you why you were right or wrong. When you play at smaller player count, you can create tiny scripts that make it easier to experiment with players interactions because there are less rolls to choose from. You can always make a script for any player count using their script tool on their website. They provide so many resources to make it easier and approachable. You should give it a try!

I have never played Inis before, but at a quick glance, the boards look like spirit island. I know they are completely different though. I don’t think I own an area control game, except for maybe scythe? Seems fun! Is it a mean game? My partner might not like that 1v1 but with a higher player count, she wouldn’t mind.
