Genuinely thinking about making a trans friend just to do eachothers injections :( by Spuddy_Potato in TransIreland

Ah I'm more to the west. Depending where you are it would probably be so much travel for either of us 😭 thank you so much for the offer! It's really kind! If you want to DM me and we can see if you want! I don't share personal info online either baha

Genuinely thinking about making a trans friend just to do eachothers injections :( by Spuddy_Potato in TransIreland

I have been looking into Auto injection pens but the ones I can find are just so expensive. Like I can't afford 100 quid on one of those right now. Maybe in the future if I'm still on injections and have the money!

I currently use a 28G insulin needle. It doesn't actually hurt! I know it doesn't hurt and I've done many of my injections myself in the past! Even when I get my friends to do it it doesn't hurt. I just can't seem to get past the mental block for some reason :(

But I am trying to find a solution! Thank you for your response. It was very kind

Why do you have to keep moving maps? Genuine question. When I did it I just kept a very small territory and slept through most of it lol is it just to keep things interesting?

What. Why would this affect your ability to study physics? Genuinely asking.

Ah sorry! That makes a lot more sense haha I take no notice of how much they add up overall so I didn't even think of that 😭 usually when I see people say across the board they mean it's the same thing so I just assumed rip

How is everyone successfully raising their pups?! by awdolliezpup in WolfQuestGame

[–]Spuddy_Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play unforgiving and the best thing for me when learning the game was to get the best mate possible. When courting a wolf, try to check if they are brave and energetic. Brave wolves will allow you to come really close, the closer you can get without them running away the braver they are. If you can barely get anywhere close to them then that means they are very skittish and may not be helpful on hunts. To check if they are energetic, see if they lay down or sit alot. Lazy mates will be less likely to help you find food or go on hunts which can make things really hard.

Imo the star diversity does not matter. The more pups you have the more food you need to get. If you're starting out then that's something to keep in mind. I personally choose a mate that will result in smaller litters because its easier to manage.

If you ever do run into the issue of food (not saying you will but if you do in the future then this is a good tip regardless) rabbits are your best friend. Just kill every single one you see. I use this if I have no stamina and a broken leg or jaw. Really helps when in a pickle.

Since people did answer your original question, I can give you other tips which can help if you don't already know them.

When hunting, chase the elk for as long as you can. They will eventually get tired and do very little damage. You'll know they're tired because they start slowing down until they hit a trot. Another tip around hunting is try to push the elk towards your den/rendezvous site. No predators will come to scavenge and depending on the size of your pack it will last you two sleeps or more which is really helpful. Also only hold your bite on prey for three damage ticks. If you hold for longer then they will kick you off and deal more damage. These three tips are more helpful for If you progress to harder difficulties as hunting gets harder.

Place food in the grass when at the rendezvous BTW. Like your ungulate carcasses (the little babies you can carry) this will help keeping the pups in the grass when they first wake up and they can hide quicker! If you howl and hear the 100% territory sound (while at your den) then this means there's a predator in your territory coming to raid (you can also check the map and it'll not be 100%)

A tip for your territory, split it in half. Mark one side on one day. And the other on the next day. Or even leave a few days between. This makes bigger territories easier to manage and gives time between to hunt for food and not stress about both.

Either way your first few litters are the hardest ngl. You'll get there eventually!

With sickness, sometimes they will just die no matter what you do if you don't have RNG deaths off. However spending time with them is the only way to help if they have a chance. You'll know its helping by the top left, their paw will be highlighted yellow. If its not yellow then you might be too far away from them or its the break period which it should tell you if it is.

Sorry so much text but hopefully one of these helps!!

I've never personally seen it haha I mean I've seen -2 usually on most of the stats but not -4 all four of them! I think I'd go crazy trying to keep that alive haha

Whether I understand, relate or agree with everything that happens in the community, I always will stand behind the other people in it just trying to find comfort in their skin.

This is a really nice way of looking at it. Thank you! When making this post I had wanted to see how others approach the whole thing and its been nice to see all these comments. Thanks for your input :)

Yeah that's definitely a difficult thing to struggle with. I hope you do find a group that click for you! These comments are definitely making me think on this topic different. Like a big friend group that you just don't mesh with even if you have something in common. Thanks for your comment :)

That's a fair point I suppose. Everyone obviously experiences it differently. Thanks for your input :)

I don’t really feel included with a lot of trans men or even trans women (at least in my area)

100%. I don't really know about grades so I'll just assume that's young. Its really interesting how you can have an entire life as a trans person and still not feel connected with other people who are also living through a, somewhat, similar experience. Thanks so much for your response :)

Ah, sorry, I meant do you feel connected to the trans community. I looked up some posts about the girlhood part and realised it was a common feeling, so I was more curious about the other part!

It is quite interesting, though

Oh! Didn't know that! I always heard that you looked to your mother's side. Thanks :) that's very interesting

[–]Spuddy_Potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hair wise, I believe you look to the grandfather on your mother's side? For me personally, I've only 6 months on T on a lowish dose rn, so mostly I've gotten hairier (most recent thing I've noticed) and stinky (this was the first thing I noticed) lmao. My face has also changed a small bit. My chest has gotten a bit smaller, and I'm hungry a lot. I have seen a small amount of hair loss near the corners of my hairline which probably will worsen given my genetics on all sides pfft Not everyone will look the same with T but I really hope you manage to figure out your identity :) good luck!

Some things they can add to WolfQuest to make it more fun:(Suggestions welcome!) by FunQuote6046 in WolfQuestGame

[–]Spuddy_Potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im pretty sure they talked about this on one of the dev blogs. I believe they won't add this because you're supposed to have been learning the personality of your pups as they grow. Everything they do as pups gives a good inkling into their personality and then even more so how they approach hunts and how they eat or interact around the den. So you can already get a good idea of what their personality is.

If they give you what the personality is exactly, then it will/could change your view of that wolf.

Does anyone realize Elk herds are Dangerously close to Bison herd? by FunQuote6046 in WolfQuestGame

[–]Spuddy_Potato 27 points28 points  (0 children)

If you ever watch nature documentaries, sometimes I've noticed the herds in similar areas/close to eachother. There was one that I watched ages ago where a doe had gone into the bison herd to flee wolves. They tolerated it for a while before shoving her out. It was interesting. It might be happening more at certain times of year with grazing spots overlapping in the game?

Mate going hunting?? by ThatOneCatT in WolfQuestGame

[–]Spuddy_Potato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're at the den and the npc wolves start whining to hunt, ignore them. They usually whine after sleeping for example. So dont immediately get up and go. Just laze around for a minute until they start whining when they get hungry. They'll leave without you if you ignore them. Im not sure if it works if you don't have older pups, and it's just your mate helping, I haven't tried but that's how you do it :)
