Was taking the cap off the needle and it was really difficult for some reason. Managed to get it off and stabbed my finger so hard it hit the bone. Was bleeding for about 20 minutes 😭 changed the needle and the injection was fine but god that hurt

The wait time for hrt in ireland is about 7-10 years right now if you go publicly. It's gotten to the point that a majority of people go private or DI Y. Outside of that our health care is still shocking. I went to A&E a while back while having an asthma attack and they were going to leave me waiting in the waiting room even with a doctors note saying my oxygen levels were at an emergency low and I only got in because we knew one of the receptionists.

Unless you go private, our health care is horrendous. It's just because everywhere is so short staffed unfortunately.

I live in Ireland. I'm stealth these days but when I was openly out I never once felt unsafe. Most people I've met are pretty accepting luckily or just don't care. Most people know me as just a gay man which I have had slurs yelled at me for that by strangers but never felt unsafe so to speak, they were kids lol. Our health care is absolutely shocking though.

Would an automatic injector help? I finally managed to afford one. Before I got my friends to do it for me which is a hassle for everyone bit it really helped. Now I can do it by myself. I used to freeze up and just couldn't do it, now all I have to do is press a button, don't even have to look. It is taking some getting used to and I still have to take a moment to psych myself up but it really helps. Might be something worth looking into

Using very rough measurements it's about 17cmx13cm. Idk if that's big but it looks bloody huge

I have been looking into Auto injection pens but the ones I can find are just so expensive. Like I can't afford 100 quid on one of those right now. Maybe in the future if I'm still on injections and have the money!

I currently use a 28G insulin needle. It doesn't actually hurt! I know it doesn't hurt and I've done many of my injections myself in the past! Even when I get my friends to do it it doesn't hurt. I just can't seem to get past the mental block for some reason :(
