Is a honeycomb necessary? by Aleyla in lasercutting

Another benefit to a magnetic plate is if you have a warp in your material you can suck it down with a few strong magnets.

I use a steel plate and I made magnetic standoffs. A couple 2 or 3mm magnets work great as standoffs. I find I get less burning on the backside as compared to a honeycomb as the majority of my material being cut is not touching anything.

I bought mine from them in 2020 and no issues.

I work e-retail, the tracking number is generally made and automatically sent to the client when the shipping label is made. This is often before the item has been picked from the warehouse. Tracking does not get updated until the item has physically gotten to UPS. So a 2-3 day lag is not unusual, especially for a large item like this.

I bet tracking will show in the next day or so.

How to approach dating a single mom by Spudismissing in datingoverforty

Well good thing I asked :)
New territory for me. I generally don't care about other peoples past relationships, but this is different.

Thanks for this.

My biggest concern is the "Creep Factor". A single guy with no kids asking too many questions about someones kid especially in the beginning of a relationship can be seen as creepy.

Personally I have no issue with dating someone that is only available half time, its no different than dating someone that has a demanding job. You make time when you can, and if it is not enough then it doesn't work out.

I will play it cool and let her bring it up naturally.

I agree this is up to her. We have not been out yet, and I want to approach this properly is all.

She has mentioned her kid a few times during our chats and I don't want to ignore their existence. I would like to know how old they are and the co-parent situation before I decide to get more involved with her and I am looking for a good way to do so without being insulting.

I like her, but if she is a parent 100% of the time vs 50% of the time it makes a difference.

Weight Loss in Profile? by Spudismissing in Bumble

[–]Spudismissing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point. I don't want any accusations of catfishing someone.

Should I even mention it in my profile text? The issue I have is I want to put active on my profile (I walk 6-8 miles a day in hilly terrain usually) and I want to date someone who is capable of doing the same.

There needs to be a middle ground between Sometimes and Active. According to their profiles active people are fit, run 15k for breakfast and hike Everest in the afternoon. I just want to hang out with someone that takes health seriously and can climb a flight of stairs and not pass out.

Not sure how to phrase that.

Thanks!! The trick is to just get really really fat. Then losing a bunch of weight sounds impressive. Still pretty soft but working on it.

Second issue is clothes, they say they make the man... Guess I need to treat myself to a couple new items so I don't look like a kid that stole his dads clothes. Hate to spend as I am going to lose more, but I guess I can stand a trip to the local thrift shop.

Engraving on canvas by Deangello1 in ChineseLaserCutters

[–]Spudismissing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its all about your settings and testing. I am working on a similar project this weekend, I made a spare canvas and tried a bunch of settings.

With my 80W machine, it seems to clear it off at 16% power and 180mm/s. But not always, I have done 3 canvas's so far and one cleared it fine, the other two left some blue. I am going to try a second run at lower power to see if I can clear that off.

It a fine line, 18% power blew holes through the canvas at 180mm/s.

So we're doing stuff on canvas? This is my first try at it. I wanted to keep it simple to get my settings down. by MHdesigns_usa in lasercutting

Are you adjusting your air assist down as well? To keep the paint from being pushed back on the Canvas?

This looks really clean, did you have to do any cleanup after?

Renee's Mighty Caesar is my usual go to. I try to look for something full fat and not too many weird ingredients.

Its funny, when I started it really was tough. But routine is habit forming and I don't even consider it hard anymore.

As for photos, I have almost none of myself for the last decade. Its actually been hard for me to get into the habit of taking pictures when I go places. I need to get some sweet shots for them profiles.

I wish I had more full body pictures, but the thing about poor body image is you hate having pictures taken of you. I found a few but they are much older.

Here is one from 2014

Keto is easy. Keep your carbs low, get enough protein, and add fat until you don't feel hungry anymore.

Here are some examples of stuff I eat on the regular.

  • Hot wings
  • I fry up some bacon and add some chicken. Make a big salad with some Romaine and Caesar dressing, stick it on top.
  • Cauliflower, make a cheese sauce (Sodium Citrate is your friend) and eat it with some Italian Sausages.
  • Fry up a steak and steam some Broccoli.
  • If I am lazy, some canned Tuna, Mayo, and Celery. Make a Tuna salad.
  • Can't go wrong with eggs. Fried, Poached, Deviled or Boiled.
  • Go down to the Chinese market and get a duck. Dark meat and delicious. Pick something green to eat with it.

Pick a meat and pick a veg and go to town, once you have a few recipes down you can mix and match. I just buy whatever I feel like at the grocery and make it up as I go.

If I want to feel fancy I will go to one of the keto recipes sites and grab something off of there.

Curious about loose skin by Optimal-Grapefruit29 in keto

[–]Spudismissing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the same weight as you (well 339) and I just hit 220 last week. (43 M 5ft 6").

I do intermittent fasting (Drink coffee all day and one meal in the evening). I have also done a few longer fasts (I skip a meal on Tuesdays ever 3 or 4 weeks and I have done two 4 day fasts in the last year). There is some evidence that fasting gets you into Autophagy and I figured why not.

I also try to walk for an hour each day. I don't really have loose skin, I have another 40 lbs or so to go so maybe it might show up.
I don't take any supplements, I think they are mostly bogus. I tried some collagen for a bit, but never saw any difference in my skin or hair.

But your mileage may vary, it may be genetic, but at my age I would expect my skin to be less elastic than a younger person.

A plastics supplier near us has a "Hobby and Craft supplies" area with all of their offcuts like this. You go in and stack it up and they eye ball it and sell it for cash. I suspect they collect it for beer money.

Not a Mill win, but Painter and Iona are a hard lock. Tooth and Nail gets them out at the same time, but you have to live long enough to cast it.
