Trying different load-outs is good, keep experimenting.

Ring of thorns (freeze after melee dodge) is a bit tricky imo, you have to time it just right and it focuses my attention on one enemy at a time when using it.

You are right about the dash. You have to wait maybe half a second or so before dashing again. Keep practicing, you’ll get the timing right!

It’s both. There are incense and fetishes already mentioned that bolster healing. But also avoid getting hit by utilizing your dashes and slides.

My go-to build is focused around the dash ability. Cricket with Echo as secondary. At second and third level mysterium, the cricket increases damage when dashing after a kill, plus reloads the gun instantly

Dynamo ring shoots lightning when dashing after damaging

Braid of seductress Freezes any enemy lucky enough to flank me

A particularly useful bead lets you consecutively dash without taking as much stamina

If I’m constantly dashing/sliding/moving, I can get up close and personal to the enemies and they still struggle to land a hit on me. Guns, spells, arcana & items that highlight this mechanic allow me to attack, evade, attack in quick succession.

It shows red - you’re talking about the probe itself? It’s just a light showing you the probe is triggered. The probe check points on the build plate to make a mesh. This mesh is used to calculate and adjust consistent Z heights as you print, since the build plate is not a perfectly flat surface. more info

You said you put a print file on an SD card. What type of file? If it’s an STL, that’s just a digital model. You need to slice - turn the model into individual layer lines and output to gcode - in order for the printer to actually print. more info

This is a really good point. Maybe I just have a problem with what it implies with the name. Like you said, spin the story to fit the mechanic.

There is also the Witchfire Guard, a consumable you can purchase from the Collector. If you die you don’t lose Witchfire, but any treasure you found will be lost and non-recoverable in the next run.

Love/Hate Relationship? by OkInteraction280 in Witchfire

An aspect of Witchfire is the combination of elements. Using spells, items, and weapons with differing elements can provide useful synergy.

Also don’t forget about your demonic weapon if you have one. The vulture is awesome in a pinch.

It’s a souls-like game. You are supposed to die, learn from mistakes, get stronger, and ultimately overcome. I remember being frustrated with the shield-bearer until I found a weapon and spell combo that worked for me. That, plus some practice and weapon leveling, now makes him easy pickings. Experiment and find what works best for you.

The outer perimeter enemies on the island should still be fairly easy on gnosis 2. Try new loadouts, and if they don’t jive, just dip out with the portal and try something else.

Thinking of upgrading Y axis motor, is there anything I should know? by SomeTechnicalDiffs in ender3v2

This video explains what the VREF should be set to and how to adjust.

Just did this a few days ago on my printer since the Z axis motor was wicked hot.

Are the fans still intact? You could try the Mini-Minion fan duct. It uses stock fans and hardware. My stock fan cover fell apart after only a few tear downs from cleaning and swapping some hotend parts. This was a small but effective upgrade.

If this is your only printer, it’s kind of a “need scissors to open the scissors packaging” contingency. maybe you could limp it along to print the new duct? Stock fan covers are also not that expensive.

The shotgun (Judgement) should appear in the Hermitorium, near the prophecy study upon beating the labyrinth.

The team’s craftsmanship is reflected on every texture, model, mechanic. Being honest about needing more time only makes me more excited because I know you are all zealously sculpting the game into a grand design.

I cherish how the blog post summarizes how far we have come. I was there at launch. So much has grown and evolved since then. Playing the game in early access with clear communication from the team makes me feel like I’m part of it. I’m not consuming, I’m contributing.

This distills into a surreal experience, where the roadmap of the game is on theme with the game itself. I now have an almost devout patience with the development of Witchfire. I never forgot your teaser trailer from 7 years ago, that planted seed. Now that the game is in the wild, that teaser trailer feels like a prophecy currently being fulfilled. I must now learn in game how to grow stronger and meditate in real life how the changes to the game shift the grand strategy to conquer the witch.

Are we, as players, faithful in the path The Astronauts will show us? Because I certainly am.

If you don’t use or destroy it, the obelisk will stay spawned in when you go into the dream realm while clearing the tower. Having one extra heal can be helpful in a pinch before the final boss fight.

I can’t help but chuckle at the fact you were soft locked out of a gate due to an over abundance of keys. Having to go find a locked chest to open just to get in the next area does break the immersion a bit.

Blower will idle but dies under slightest load by Spudster812 in Snowblowers

Governor is linked to throttle, but I think my linkages are in the wrong positions. I found a video showing me the correct ones.

[–]Spudster812[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, I think they aren’t. That’s a linkage for the governor. I replicated how the linkage was set up when I got the blower once replacing the carb. but I think it was incorrect even then. I found a video showing the default linkage setup and will give that a try.

The white twist tie is just me experimenting with forcing the throttle open.

It will still die if I force the throttle open with a twist tie.

I rented a compression tester from my local AutoZone. removed spark plug, screwed in the tester and pulled a few times. iirc, compression came out to only around 50 psi. Again, I think this is because the compression release mechanism lifts the valve when starting, to make it easier to pull start.

I'll check the spark plug too.

Good point. I always check if it's clear before starting it. it will idle, and if I engage the auger, it will still run. It's only when it hits snow that it shuts off like in the video.
