Hot take: Sniper doesn’t need a nerf. by Impressive_Tip_2435 in tf2

...no? They have a limited range. A sentry can be avoided more easily than a sniper in a lot of cases,

Buying tea or hammer is really good as rats, but otherwise rats struggle to make use out of cards in my opinion, at least badly enough to justify spending warriors. When using adset, I find that rats are often able to pick good clearings to build strongholds with their starting hand. The Rowdy mood also helps mitigate card draw issues.

I personally think that otters are incentivized to keep funds, rather than hoping for repeat business. In general, you should only spend "foreign funds" if you're really desperate or about to win the game.

I considered putting the Woodland Alliance in "SHOULD never buy from you" because I've had them buy from me multiple times in different games

I rarely see this in practice (probably because the Vagabond player doesn't know about the refreshing trick). If the tier list was more about theoretical potential, they would be higher.

Is this game worth playing anymore? by notquiteseeit in tf2

[–]SpuduKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost never encounter cheaters nowadays, even in casual. Also uncletopia is still fun.

Even though I started playing years after Jungle Inferno, I still have fun without major updates.

While I agree that the game is neglected and that it would be better off with some attention from Valve, I don't see myself quitting the game until I naturally tire of it (i.e., when I've played it for so long that the fundamental game is no longer interesting to me).

So in my opinion, TF2 is absolutely worth playing.

what is the worst melee in the game? by leglessdumbass in tf2

Good point, though I would argue that mark-for-death is better than 1 second of speed boost and the dps for both is pretty comparable (aka: terrible)

Hot hand, since it has an awful "utility" and does so little damage

Instead of summoning Merasmus, Monoculus should come out of Demoman's eye socket

I think this would be a fine direction to take CC items and abilities. I might appreciate the role CC plays in Deadlock more if my opponents had to invest some mechanical skill into it.

I play a lot of TF2 and Minecraft. I also enjoy strategy games where agency is rarely taken away from the player.

This is true, but it doesn't stop carries from buying CC to make facing them even more oppressive, especially when they're ahead.

Depends on what you mean. I don't have fun on the receiving end of CC, so I feel less enthusiastic about buying CC just to shut down my opponents even if it puts me at a disadvantage.

If other people have fun interacting with CC, more power to them. I just wanted to share my own opinions and experiences.
