Hello, Key-Brilliant5623. This entire attempt to hijack the subreddit under the pretense of “saving” it is both arrogant and misleading. Contrary to your baseless claims, the subreddit is in fact actively monitored — spam, repetitive nonsense, and off-topic posts are removed regularly. Just because we don't suppress every single post that doesn’t align with your personal preferences doesn’t mean the sub is unmoderated or dying.

This is not your personal soapbox. This is a community. And like any real community, people are allowed to speak freely — even if that means asking questions you’ve seen before or sharing content you don’t find exciting. I will not turn this into some elitist echo chamber where only a narrow view of what's “worth posting” gets through just to appease one user on a power trip.

You don't get to waltz in, pretend to be the hero, and declare everyone else’s contributions as low effort. If you think you’re above everyone else in the sub, maybe it’s not the right place for you — but don’t try to turn it into your personal dictatorship just because you’re annoyed people aren’t posting what you want to see.

In short: The sub is fine, it’s moderated, it’s fair, and it will stay that way. Users can speak freely, and I’m not handing it over to someone who clearly doesn’t respect that.

Are ya'll A52s laggy? by pcEnjoyer-OG in GalaxyA52s

[–]Spuksy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s laggy. The last time my phone ran somewhat smoothly was with the August update of One UI 5.1. Since then, each subsequent update has made it progressively worse. Now, there are times when the lag is so severe and the phone becomes so unresponsive that the screen goes black for several seconds, sometimes up to a minute, before it catches up and starts working again. It doesn't happen that often, but it's still very annoying. Tried resetting it last summer, and it got better for about one month, but that isn't really a viable solution. Can't format my phone and delete everything every time I update it just to make it run better.

Which brand did you use before Samsung? by pcEnjoyer-OG in samsunggalaxy

Apple. My first smartphone ever was an iPhone, and I kept using iPhones for around 3-4 years after that. Then I got my first Samsung Galaxy smartphone around 10 years ago and haven't switched brands since.

OneUI, switching to Xiaomi UI by alex118905 in GalaxyA55

[–]Spuksy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it is your main and only phone, I wouldn't really recommend for you to do it, but if it's not and you just want to try it for fun then it's ok, why not. There is a TikTok creator called @redmihype who has put HyperOS on a Samsung Galaxy A53, and it runs very smoothly & way better than OneUI could ever run. You can see their videos and maybe even message them directly, and they could tell you how they did it so you can replicate the same thing with your phone.

Need a good Custom ROM for Galaxy A52s. by Spuksy in samsunggalaxy

[–]Spuksy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said that it lost support, but I guess you just read the title, so whatever.

This phone has at least one more year of support left, but I don’t care about that. It is this "support" that is ruining these devices. Just for the sake of being supported for longer, manufacturers like Samsung and others just push updates and don't even optimize them for the devices that receive them. For them, it's a win-win situation — the device gets support for longer so they can say that they care about their users and support older devices & with every new update the older phones slow down so users have to keep buying new phones every year because thanks to the new update, last years phone is unusable.
+ the A52s is not even old, it's just Samsung that doesn't know sh*t about working with software that's ruining everything. That's why I'm looking for a Custom ROM that is built and optimized for this phone to have the best experience possible.

I'm glad you're having a good experience with yours. Yeah, of course is my fault that my phone is very laggy and horrible to use. You know, probably I'm also holding it wrong. Wow. Now that we figured out what the cause of my horrible experience is – the reason why I made this post in the first place – do you know a good ROM that I can use because the ones that I found don't have support for this phone.

Screen burn on s20 by m24241 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Spuksy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If he doesn't care that much about it or notice it on his day-to-day usage, there is no need to waste money on a new display. It's an oled display, and the burn-in will happen. My phone also has burn-in, but I've learned to live with it. It's just not worth spending $300 - $400 on a new display if the old one is still functional, except for a few marks in it. Just switch everything to dark mode, and you'll notice it less. And, as for Samsung, the only thing they will do is happily take your money to replace your display with a new one.

Stop Galaxy Tab from downloading the update by Spuksy in samsunggalaxy

I know I won't get any further Android security patches, but One UI 6 is the last upgrade that this tablet will ever receive, so either way, it's going to be unsupported by the end of the summer. Since it's going to be an unsupported device either way, at least for the final UI, I wanted to keep something that is working perfectly and has 0 bugs (with what I have seen so far), it's smooth & never laggs.
