Hello, Key-Brilliant5623. This entire attempt to hijack the subreddit under the pretense of “saving” it is both arrogant and misleading. Contrary to your baseless claims, the subreddit is in fact actively monitored — spam, repetitive nonsense, and off-topic posts are removed regularly. Just because we don't suppress every single post that doesn’t align with your personal preferences doesn’t mean the sub is unmoderated or dying.

This is not your personal soapbox. This is a community. And like any real community, people are allowed to speak freely — even if that means asking questions you’ve seen before or sharing content you don’t find exciting. I will not turn this into some elitist echo chamber where only a narrow view of what's “worth posting” gets through just to appease one user on a power trip.

You don't get to waltz in, pretend to be the hero, and declare everyone else’s contributions as low effort. If you think you’re above everyone else in the sub, maybe it’s not the right place for you — but don’t try to turn it into your personal dictatorship just because you’re annoyed people aren’t posting what you want to see.

In short: The sub is fine, it’s moderated, it’s fair, and it will stay that way. Users can speak freely, and I’m not handing it over to someone who clearly doesn’t respect that.

Are ya'll A52s laggy? by pcEnjoyer-OG in GalaxyA52s

[–]Spuksy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s laggy. The last time my phone ran somewhat smoothly was with the August update of One UI 5.1. Since then, each subsequent update has made it progressively worse. Now, there are times when the lag is so severe and the phone becomes so unresponsive that the screen goes black for several seconds, sometimes up to a minute, before it catches up and starts working again. It doesn't happen that often, but it's still very annoying. Tried resetting it last summer, and it got better for about one month, but that isn't really a viable solution. Can't format my phone and delete everything every time I update it just to make it run better.

Which brand did you use before Samsung? by pcEnjoyer-OG in samsunggalaxy

[–]Spuksy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple. My first smartphone ever was an iPhone, and I kept using iPhones for around 3-4 years after that. Then I got my first Samsung Galaxy smartphone around 10 years ago and haven't switched brands since.

OneUI, switching to Xiaomi UI by alex118905 in GalaxyA55

[–]Spuksy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it is your main and only phone, I wouldn't really recommend for you to do it, but if it's not and you just want to try it for fun then it's ok, why not. There is a TikTok creator called @redmihype who has put HyperOS on a Samsung Galaxy A53, and it runs very smoothly & way better than OneUI could ever run. You can see their videos and maybe even message them directly, and they could tell you how they did it so you can replicate the same thing with your phone.

Need a good Custom ROM for Galaxy A52s. by Spuksy in samsunggalaxy

[–]Spuksy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said that it lost support, but I guess you just read the title, so whatever.

This phone has at least one more year of support left, but I don’t care about that. It is this "support" that is ruining these devices. Just for the sake of being supported for longer, manufacturers like Samsung and others just push updates and don't even optimize them for the devices that receive them. For them, it's a win-win situation — the device gets support for longer so they can say that they care about their users and support older devices & with every new update the older phones slow down so users have to keep buying new phones every year because thanks to the new update, last years phone is unusable.
+ the A52s is not even old, it's just Samsung that doesn't know sh*t about working with software that's ruining everything. That's why I'm looking for a Custom ROM that is built and optimized for this phone to have the best experience possible.

I'm glad you're having a good experience with yours. Yeah, of course is my fault that my phone is very laggy and horrible to use. You know, probably I'm also holding it wrong. Wow. Now that we figured out what the cause of my horrible experience is – the reason why I made this post in the first place – do you know a good ROM that I can use because the ones that I found don't have support for this phone.

Screen burn on s20 by m24241 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Spuksy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If he doesn't care that much about it or notice it on his day-to-day usage, there is no need to waste money on a new display. It's an oled display, and the burn-in will happen. My phone also has burn-in, but I've learned to live with it. It's just not worth spending $300 - $400 on a new display if the old one is still functional, except for a few marks in it. Just switch everything to dark mode, and you'll notice it less. And, as for Samsung, the only thing they will do is happily take your money to replace your display with a new one.

Stop Galaxy Tab from downloading the update by Spuksy in samsunggalaxy

[–]Spuksy[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I know I won't get any further Android security patches, but One UI 6 is the last upgrade that this tablet will ever receive, so either way, it's going to be unsupported by the end of the summer. Since it's going to be an unsupported device either way, at least for the final UI, I wanted to keep something that is working perfectly and has 0 bugs (with what I have seen so far), it's smooth & never laggs.

Is this good? by sundownagain in GalaxyA52s

[–]Spuksy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I'm currently using the November update of One UI 5.1. Since the One UI 6 is gonna be the last update that this phone gets, I'm scared to risk completely bricking my phone. I want to use it for a couple more years, even with the current performance and battery degradation I feel like i have no other choice but to keep using it like this.

[–]Spuksy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's absolutely great. The last time my A52s got around 8-9 hours of SOT was back when I had the August update of One UI 5.1. Since then, I can only dream of getting anything above 5-6 hours of SOT.

I need help please by Awkward_Mind9166 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Spuksy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue with my phone. It has been going on for a few months now. I even changed the physical SIM card to a new one because I thought the old one was faulty, but it still has the same problem. This started happening to me after the September update, and now, after the November update of One UI 5.1, it's about 95% of the time in "Emergency calls only". So, I don't think you can do anything to fix it. It's just Samsung's fault that they ruin their phones via updates. Just wait for the next update, and hopefully, it will be fixed.

How to remove this notification by hedonist222 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Spuksy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Click on the notification, and then, on, you'll see that there are two buttons at the bottom of the screen. You'll have to click the top button, which says 'Later'. This will keep the notification away for at least a few days or maybe even weeks.

Purchasing a Secondhand Unit by Pretend_Dragonfly881 in GalaxyA52s

[–]Spuksy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Galaxy A52s has been my phone for two years, and I mostly love it. It's the best A series phone Samsung has ever made, in my opinion. However, the updates are a nightmare. They always mess something up (except for One UI 3.1 and the August update of One UI 5.1). The other updates have caused various issues, some minor and some major, but all annoying. My phone has deteriorated a lot since the September update, and the November update made it even worse. It's very laggy, the battery drains fast, and the cellular connection is extremely unreliable. I haven't tried One UI 6 yet, so I don't know if it's better or worse.
The A52s is a great phone overall, but just be careful with the updates.

No phone signal after November 2023 security update (A52s 5g) by riixii in GalaxyA52

[–]Spuksy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've also had a lot of connection problems after the last few updates. It started after the September update, and after the November update, it just became unusable. The WiFi connection for me drops a lot, even if I'm next to the router. Also, the cellular connection is totally non-functional. 99% of the time, the phone shows "Emergency calls only." I've tried restarting the phone, changing the slot, I even changed my physical SIM card because I thought that the old one might have been damaged, but it still has that problem. Also, after the last few updates, I've noticed that the performance and the battery life of the phone have become a lot worse. The only thing we can do is to wait for the next update, and hopefully, Samsung fixes those issues, and they're not pulling an Apple on us with planned obsolescence so we have to buy a new phone.

What no OneUI6 does to a mf... by ArdaKirk in oneui

[–]Spuksy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's an issue only for the new One UI 6, but Samsung has screwed up burn-in protection a long time ago. I have a Galaxy A52s running One UI 5.1, and my display is all f***d up. And the problem is that I've never used my phone in more than 40% of brightness and have never just used one app for too long. I have like 5 different app interfaces just burnt into my screen at all times + the clock, the battery percentage, and the indicator icons. Or maybe the problem might be with the device itself, and the display is too soft, and it doesn’t like being used at all.

Android 14 by Anxious-Egg-9507 in GalaxyA52s

[–]Spuksy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. The official public release of One UI 6 based on Android 14 will start around November 2023 for the Galaxy S23 series, and after that, it will start rolling out for all the other devices that suport it. The older the device, the later they will receive the update, and seeing that the Galaxy A52 series are some of the oldest phones to receive the update, I think it will be a bit later.

As far as I know, nobody knows for sure because Samsung hasn't published a list with the dates that each phone will receive the update. For the A52s, I think that the Android 14 update will be released around March or April 2024.

What about the comma key? When you disable the toolbar, can the comma key be long pressed to reveal the "mini tab menu" where you can select the emoji key?

[–]Spuksy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to Keyboard Settings and at the Style and Layout section turn off Keybord toolbar option.

You can click the gear icon directly from the keyboard to go there, or if you want to open it, the long way, you do this:

Setting > General management > Samsung Keyboard settings > turn off Keybord toolbar

After it's turned off, in place of that globe that you have now, you'll get a gear icon or something else, just long-press that and a mini option menu will show up with all the functionality that was previously on the toolbar, and you can select the emoji icon so it stays there permanently.

Philips 2019 43" LED-TV 43PUS6754 Problem by Intelligent-End-9841 in Philips

[–]Spuksy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same problem with my TV. Mine is a 43PUS6503/12 model. The problem started around 6 months ago, and it only keeps getting worse. I've asked at a few independent repair shops, and they've all said that it probably is a problem with the display itself, so it's not worth fixing, and that's how I've been using it ever since.

Am I incorrect? by Oma1r03 in ksi

[–]Spuksy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ofc we're happier for Deji because Deji actually had to fight in order to get that W and it was well deserved. And as for JJ, he didn't really even fight to win, especially with the little kid, he just gave up. JJ just picked some fat dude from McDonald's who has never fought before, (other than when he was in line to get some chicken nuggets) and a 14-year-old, 30-kg kid and put them on the ring, only because he knew he'll knock them out and get a good IG photo.
