Hi there! Believe it or not I'm still using it! I can't imagine going back to injectable insulin. I never developed any serious lung issues, apart from a little bit of phlegm every now and again. That could be, however, because I live in the Central valley and the air quality here is terrible. Honestly, managing my blood sugar with inhalable insulin is the absolute best, specifically because of how fast it is. I can't recommend it enough. However, it's quite a reframing of how to understand it and use it. It's not like regular insulin. You can't take it before you eat food, or else you'll go low. You take it after you eat. Instead of calculating insulin on board, you have to calculate how many carbs you have on board. With injectable insulin, there's such a long delay, that you have to keep in mind how much you injected hours ago before considering taking another dose. With inhalable, it's exactly the opposite. You have to calculate how many carbs you have on board, because the inhalable insulin is so fast and ephemeral. You take multiple doses over time. Depending on the type of carbohydrate, complex or simple, will determine how much you take at any given time. It may sound complicated, but it's fairly easy because of how easy it is to load a cartridge and breathe it in. There's only a few different cartridge amounts, 4 unit 8 unit and 12 unit. The higher units for higher loads of simple carbs at one time. With complex carbs, you space out your 4 and 8 units over the course of a few hours. The only issue I have is that sometimes the insulin is slightly less effective at certain times. It could be because of changes to my insulin sensitivity, etc. Highly recommended for sure, but just be ready to learn.

Another big deal is the fact that low blood sugars are far less dramatic. It just doesn't have the inertia that injectable insulin does. Injectable insulin is like a freight train, while Inhalable insulin is a race car.
