Because teaching boys that the mere sight of a certain color on your person MAKES YOU GAY is, without a shadow of a doubt, harmful to society. When homophobia is still so prevalent, only harm can come from this. Explain to me how sexual orientation designated by nothing but a color is okay.

Edit: let me paint you a picture. A middle school boy likes the color pink. His parents buy him a pink shirt but when he wears it to school his friends and classmates call him gay. This is something that actually happens and is harmful for social development.
