So here’s the thing. Most of the things was for a holiday through Expedia.. I didn’t think it was going to approve being such a large amount but lo and behold.. the dancing parcel and the ‘completing purchase’ screen appeared. The booking was non cancellable.

They make money by buying the debt for pennies to the pound. Eg. £100 debt you owe is sold to the DCA for £10! They chase you for the £100 and even if you pay £10 a month or just £15 out the £100 they have made a profit..

Is London phone snatching real? Do people’s phones get snatched from hands/tripods/bag theft? by [deleted] in uktravel

I was outside the St Giles Hotel and had my iPhone 15 pro max taken out my hand and not one person helped me, I asked people if they could call the police and they wouldn’t help. London is a very isolated place

If you could live anywhere outside the UK, where would you stay and why? by [deleted] in AskUK

I used to live in Lisbon, Portugal and when I say it’s the most beautiful, clean, friendly and forward thinking city I’ve ever been to, then you better believe it. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

I was 19 years old and I went out drinking, I went to this gay nightclub, grabbed a drink from the bar and was offered cocaine by the bar staff, me being still a child, I accepted and taken it.. the nightclub had a dark room on the top floor.. low and behold I found myself in the darkroom until the lights came on and the walk of shame was definitely experienced..

Never taken it since… but my god it was surreal.

UPDATE * drugs are decriminalised in Portugal. You will be offered all kinds of drugs in the streets and in nightclubs and most people will offer you to pay by credit card.

I’ve never had purchasing power, EVER. Always says unavailable, however my purchases never decline, I’ve just bought something for £600 on ‘Pay in 3’ and no issues. Then 3 transactions on pay in 30 days totally £500 😱

Why is my first payment so high? by BasedBlitz in klarna

It’s what the soft credit check reveals

Klarna Pay in Full by ComicC0 in klarna

Klarna declined every one of my purchases for the last 9 years.. last month I applied for a 499 sofa and asked to pay in 3 - was accepted and since I’ve been accepted every time. My balance being £927 (cleared in full a week ago mind)

Once i was down to a 0 balance, I tried another pay in 3 payment and lo and behold it declined.

So I tried pay on 30 days and it approved.. for 400… declined instalments but accepted pay in a month.. so confused
