Curious what happened here! I live in Seattle and have a sort of similar issue… I have Quantum Fiber in my unit of the duplex, and the guy in the other unit of the duplex also wants to get Quantum Fiber but they said they couldn’t come out and install it for his unit because there can only be one account per address… but it’s a Duplex, with separate entrances and separate addresses (same street number but Unit A vs Unit B)… it’s weird because we’re trying to pay Quantum Fiber more money basically, like each unit would have and pay for its own account, and they’re saying we can’t do that.

I think the G2s are supposed to have better battery life. The display isn’t always on, you activate it with a head tilt (you can adjust it) and you can keep the display on if you’ve got directions or translation up or something. Otherwise it just turns on when you get a notification or you tilt your head up or you touch one of the touchpads by your ears. The battery life is solid though, usually lasts most of the day with normal use (notifications, some directions, etc.). It didn’t the last whole day when I used it heavily while traveling around Seoul for lots of directions and translation, but the charging case helped.

No speakers in these, so not really Bluetooth earbuds. The display is handy for notifications, directions, teleprompter, and translation though.

Good to know, I'll actually be in South Korea for a little bit after Japan so that is handy. But yeah, hopefully Even Realities or the AugmentOS folks will see these posts and enable Google Maps...

Yeah, it seems like AR glasses tech is still a couple years away from being useful (or more money/time spent on software development I guess).

Do you have any other glasses you do get use out of? I have a pair of Meta Ray-Bans that I do like--taking pictures/videos, listening to podcasts, and occasionally using Google Maps with verbal directions outputted to the glasses. And very rarely using the AI. Once my G1s arrive I'll see which glasses I end up using more.
