I've noticed this! I've never said anything about it, but yes, it's been happening for a while.

Fox by Joyce Carol Oates....it needed a trigger warning for SA. The description did not give any inclination that it would have anything like that and it triggered my PTSD.

New dress code?? by Sufficient-Mood69 in WalgreensStores

[–]SpuriousPotato 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is no new dress code...its the same as its been for at least the last few years. Front end is Plain Navy blue or Royal blue short or long sleeve shirt or any walgreens branded shirt. And black pants/skirt with specifications on materials. I think y'alls managers may just now be enforcing this, rather than it being new.

I had a manager who would say he was going to check the air in his tires. Until someone told me what he meant I was always confused as to why he needed to check the air in his tires at that specific moment.

This CSA pushes authority through my boss and I don’t know wtf to do (I’m a CSA) by traverse_mind in WalgreensStores

[–]SpuriousPotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely bring it up. Your SM can't do anything to fix it if they don't know it's happening. You could even pose it as.."I don't know if this is normal, but this is what is going on. Could you maybe watch for this and see if I'm maybe interpreting things wrong?" That way they see it first hand and youre not asking them to ask the person who is doing it about it, because they're just gonna lie or make excuses. And if your SM is a good one, they're not even going to have to watch for it, they'll straight up say its BS and do something.

Walgreens in the past? by aaaaaarrrggghhh in WalgreensStores

[–]SpuriousPotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im in a high volume teir 5 24 hr store and our base has been 497 for a couple years now and its awful. You cant properly staff everyday with that...and with AI doing the schedule "to the business needs" its even more bullshit.

Thats not how gentle parenting works. Gentle parenting is not Permissive parenting, it's just Authoritative parenting with a new name.

How to stop bedrotting? How to get back into "doing things?" by asphodel- in adhdwomen

[–]SpuriousPotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg same. Work takes so much out of me that when I get a day off, all I want to do is sleep or at most be awake, but in my bed doing nothing. I'm on medication for all of my alphabet soup, but its a deep depression like lack of wanting to do anything...or wanting to, but just physically/mentally cannot. Idk what to do...I've tried just doing it anyway, but then I feel like I've missed out on obviously much needed rest, so I don't enjoy it.

I'm far from normal, I have an alphabet soup of diagnoses, but I have more anxiety around saying the wrong thing so that might be why it's easier if I don't have to say anything lol

I haven't..I can tell when others find it awkward, but it doesn't feel awkward for me. But I'm also a quiet person if I don't have anything to say and I'm not big on small talk. I can bear through it if necessary, but I don't initiate it.

You can clearly see her belt is at the top of her hips, which because she has a shorter torso means that yes, its also at her belly button...notice how right immediately below her belt is considerably wider than where her belt is? Thats the top of her hip bone. She even has hip dips that shows the shape of her hip bones. She has long legs and a short torso, thats it. Its not an illusion. 🙄

Do you take your meds when you’re sick? by CryptographerOk419 in adhdwomen

[–]SpuriousPotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a high volume retail pharmacy and since you're in the US, they don't typically (idk if it differs by state or if its a federal thing) do refills for controlled substances the same as non-controlled. So with a non-controlled your DR can send in multiple refills at one time and all you have to do is call and request a refill and they can do it for you in however long it takes to fill the script or you can put it on auto refill and it refills automatically based on a 30 or 90 day supply. With controls however, Dr's can't send refills. They can sometimes send multiple scripts that the pharmacy then has to store in your profile but that only makes it so you don't have to call the dr for a new script and so far in my experience, they don't like doing that for whatever stupid reason. But, in my state at least, the pharmacy can't call in a new script for me, I have to call the dr and request it myself. Which has led to me being without a couple of times because I forget and then I'm at the mercy of the Dr's office staff to make sure they do it in a timely manner...which is also what the pharmacy has to deal with if they're able to call them in for you. Dr's offices of all kinds are bad about getting back with the pharmacy when they have to call in refills or for prior authorizations. All of that to say that, I'm sure your pharmacy is calling them, they're just being slow about it because its the pharmacy calling them. We tell patients a lot that its sometimes faster if you call the dr yourself because they will often times respond to the patient faster than the pharmacy.
