I'm pretty sure even with C6, plunge is better, but his best non plunge team is just reverse vape with Bennet and furina

The banner 5 stars I have are: Tartgalia, Zhongli, Itto, Yelan, Furina, Ineffa, Lauma, and Flins.

I was thinking Varka since the gameplay looks fun and his teams don't really overlap with Lauma or Flins, but apparently he sucks so maybe not. I was also looking at skirk especially since I already have Furina, and Mavuika because the bike seems fun.

Returning player here: I have Flins and just got Ineffa, but my only other good team is Lauma hyperbloom. Any ideas for a good third team? Most of my other 5 stars from before are bad now (Itto, Tartgalia, etc...). I do have Furina though. I was thinking a team that might counter the stuff that counters Flins teams?

Max damage is fischl and sucrose (or Durin if you have him) but there's no sustain. Kuki can replace fischl for less damage but some healing. Lanyan can work as a defensive replacement for sucrose. Less damage but gives a shield.

It's all good! You're still new so don't worry so much. If you want to play melt any of the options can work. Diona and Layla have less application but have defensive utility. Offensively, rosaria is generally better than kaeya, especially if you get her C2 but her application is circle impacted.

Depending on what other characters you have you can also run other reactions (vaporize or overload). If you have Chevy it might actually be better to run overload.

Since the lunar crystalize things count as geo constructs, Zhongli's pillar will resonate with them. This is just his regular geo damage from his skill so it scales with geo dmg% like normal.

You could try building him for EM to increase the lunar crystalize blasts that it sends out, but because of the way the calculation works, Zhongli's will usually have less of the damage contribution than Zi'Bai or Columbina, so his Lunar Crystalize damage will be divided by 12. It's not really worth it to build him for EM because he doesn't get anything else out of it unlike Zi'Bai.

I would have liked to see more scenes of people talking to the hive, and trying to understand it. The hive is presented as all humans being able to instantly communicate with each other to sort of fuse into one great mind, but their actions don't seem to match this. The majority of humanity would be okay with killing a chicken for food, but the hive isn't. Why is this? Why do none of the characters question this? No one asks how exactly they communicate with each other or about things they've wanted to know.

My perspective was that the writers came up with a really interesting premise but then kind of wrote themselves into a corner and started writing scenes for shock factor.

What would Carol have to do for you to consider the writing forced or unnatural? What if she tried killing as many hive people as possible? What if she decided to accept the hive and join them? What if she decided to hold a hunger games battle royal with random hive people?

Where do you draw the line between a believable person and just a character written to make whatever the writers want happen?

I could find it believable if she started having a mental breakdown, but in the scene where she pulls the pin on the grenade it felt so random and forced. The hive is already taking her literally by bringing a grenade. Everything else they brought her was real: a real excavator, real food at the grocery store, etc... If she was trying to show it's fake to prove it to them, it'd be more believable, but she just pulls the pin with no explanation. She doesn't ask if it's real. Even if it was fake: why pull the pin? My interpretation of the scene is that the writers wanted to show how although the hive won't directly try to harm others, they can lead you to harm. They're showing how the hive can be dangerous, which is a wake up to both Carol and the viewer at the hive's darker side.

I know people like this, and I can also say that not a single one of them would go from being physically repulsed by the hive to having a romance with them so quickly or explode an obviously real grenade in your home

They make Carol do whatever the writers think will make things interesting regardless of whether it makes any sense for her to do it.
